Guess I forgot to rate this when I joined, but it’s incredible that a YT rapper who used to make some stuff I didn’t like when old friends put him on the aux in 2019 put out something this artful and even probably better stuff down the line. Has some really solid songs that are super catchy on it and get stuck in my head. Truly a cover story to let people cook. Excited to hear his new album coming soon
Has some amazing songs on it, but it has some skippable ones too that holds it back. Have to not care about lyrics when listening. Also, try in a way to not support Carti bc he’s an awful person
The first album I really listened to when starting to take music seriously. Has some amazing songs and still holds up well. Has some pretty progressive lyrics on it, which might surprise you if you only know of Ye from 2018-on. Through the Wire and Last Call are some of my fav songs. Still so sad Ye turned out how he is now
Feel like this one was sadly a victim of the loudness wars bc the production is crushed immensely to Ye’s other works imo. Still a solid feel-good album. Glad it paved the way for more emotional hip-hop in the mainstream and beat 50 Cent’s release
At one point I had this as one of my few 10/10 albums. It has fallen off a fair amount from there, but it’s still an amazing album and comeback for Ye in the mainstream
