Musically their most mature album, it takes the vocal harshness of They’re Only Chasing Safety and the ambience between songs from Define the Great Line to create a masterpiece. Just listen to it, it flows really well and every minute is spent creating their best work.
One of my favorite albums of all time, the R&B influence and more groovy aesthetic hits and it’s peak
Now I’m not a LP fan in anyway, I liked the sound of the records with Chester but didn’t like the way he screamed. I love how Emily screams here but the sound here is really dull and underwhelming. For example Cut the Bridge has zero hype to it whatsoever it just sounds so boring. I really wish they put more into the instrumental cause it could’ve been a good album but it was lacking
Good start to 2025, just a bit repetitive but it has a Beach Bunny vibe and I love Beach Bunny
Now this is short and sweet, easy to listen to. Only 8 tracks and it goes by quickly, the lyrics are great on this album the production is solid I wish there were two other songs that could’ve been more experimental and daring but it really doesn’t take off points. Excellent record
Very tame in comparison to what I was expecting. Very anticipated once I saw the release. Maybe a few relistens will help but I didn’t enjoy this album like I should’ve
Amazing album, I was NOT expecting it to be this great since I hadn’t listened to any singles beforehand I wish I did. Songs like Cinderella, Alone in Miami, and Toro get stuck in my head. This album is so groovy and honestly one of my favorites from this year. (Yes my favorite track is Just the Start 😏)
Very boring and uninspired. If this was a first of its kind it would be good but we’ve gotten albums that sound like this constantly it’s nothing special but nothing too offensive its the mid record of the year.
Way too overproduced, very cringe worthy lyrics, annoying vocals. Disappointing was hyped for this
My first real noise rock album, was not disappointed at all. This makes me wanna delve deeper into the genre to be quite honest. Wish Seeds was longer its an excellent song 😭
90 -> 100
Beautiful execution of each song, wish it was longer cause its such a great vibe. I need a deluxe
Quick and fast record, comparable to Yard Act's Where’s My Utopia record but with a little more flavor. This record fuses jazz, art rock, prog rock and indie all into a 38 minute record. This record does not waste your time and is always trying and succeeding at reinventing the wheel. It's experimental and knows what its doing and does it well. It keeps the listener on it's toes the whole entire time. This record has some of the best instrumentation I've heard in ... read more
Love the topics that were addressed here, beautiful production and great flowing coming from Kendrick and any of the features. Recently listened to this for the first time and it's gotten me wanting to go back to Kendrick's other projects. Solid record one of my favorite modern rap records.
