When I think about what my favorite rap album is, there's only BTTYGTH that holds up for me (now). It's the best rap album, both formally and contextually, that i've ever listened to.

The album began when Parker Corey (the producer) discovered a new sonic formula while performing their previous album live. He continued developing these dazzling aesthetic sonorities until the death of Stepa J. Groggs (a member of Injury Reserve) struck their momentum.
