One of Christine's best, it's so haunting. So underrated, it's unfair. This track and "Gold Dust Woman" right after it has to be the most haunting back-to-back track runs ever.
One of the weaker songs on the album, but still amazing.
Amazing song, the backstory is hilarious, and it's so pretty. Christine's lyrics, keys, and vocals are amazing as ever, and of course, Buckingham-Nicks' harmonies are tight as ever.
Another one of their classics, but not on the level of "Dreams" or "The Chain". One of the only positive songs on the album, and it sticks out for that. This song though, is another instance of the magic Christine and Lindsey can create together.
Another song that is one of the greatest ever. Stevie Nicks' vocals are the purest they ever sound, they are so delicate. The instrumentation, especially the bass and guitar are amazing and help hold the song together. It is insane that Stevie only wrote this in 10 minutes because it genuinely may be the greatest written song ever, if not one of.
The greatest song of all time, the lyrics of Stevie's, the guitar solo of Lindsey's, the harmonies from Christine, the bassline from John, exceptional. The co-lead vocals by Lindsey and Stevie are amazing, I love how they kind of do a call-and-response with the chorus, and then in the second repetition of the chorus we hear a beautiful harmony from Christine. The bassline is such a switchup and it is so exciting, and you hear the guitar coming in, and it just explodes. Then we get the ... read more
Probably Lindsey Buckingham's first legendary song with Fleetwood Mac, a bitter song written about his ex, Stevie Nicks, who sings in an ever-tight harmonie with Lindsey during the chorus and verses. This is just a review of "Go Your Own Way" and not "Silver Springs" on the B-side, as that's what these reviews should focus on, it just muddies the score. "Silver Springs" review coming later, and shocker, also a 100. This is simply just one of the best ... read more
Another legendary song, easily Christine's best from this album. I love her vocal on this song, and Buckingham-Nicks' harmonies are tight as always. The first of many Christine songs to become timeless classics. Hitmaker.
One of the greatest songs of all time, the first glimpse the world got of a woman who would go on to make so much history, and become of the greatest lyricists of all time. The song is legendary, the harmonies are great, it's such a chill song. It is crazy to be able to say that the live version blows this version out of the water.
Very pretty song, but definitely one of the weaker moments off of the album.
Great song, shocked it is listed as a single. Probably the worst song from Lindsey off of this album (besides "World Turning"), still amazing song.
“Over My Head” marked a pivotal moment for Fleetwood Mac, it was their first real breakthrough into the American mainstream after the arrival of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. Funnily enough, it was written and sung by Christine McVie, the song is beautiful. Christine's tender vocal and understated piano melody give the track a gentle feeling while and their harmonies are beautiful from day one. It’s a simple pop song, its soft, romantic, and meticulous in the ... read more
The second best song released by Fleetwood Mac before Buckingham-Nicks joined, and of course, it is sung by the wonderful songbird Christine McVie. Absolute legend, with so many more classics to come after this part.
"Oh Well" is such amazing song, the lyrics are great, and Green sounds amazing as always. This is the best Fleetwood Mac song from the Peter Green era.
This is a good album, albeit, somewhat uneven. Some of the songs really hit whereas a few fall really flat.
Favourites: Aperture, Season 2 Weight Loss, Pop, Carla's Song
Least Favourites: American Girls, Coming Up Roses, Paint By Numbers
It was good! My least favourite LM solo album but still was very good and fun to listen too! Excited to see where her career goes and to see where Little Mix's future lies when they inevitably return as a trio, bringing aspects of each others new found creative freedom. Good album!
It's great, nothing amazing, but it is great. I love Christine and hope her other albums are more exciting. This album felt extremely safe to me, and a lot of the songs I don't think I'd willingly seek out to listen to. But there are some that're great. Unfortunately, Christine has my lowest rated debut album of the trio of singer-songwriters in Fleetwood Mac:
1. Bella Donna (Stevie Nicks) - 96
2. Trouble (Lindsey Buckingham) - 85
3. Christine Perfect (Christine McVie) - ... read more
