Such an amazing album, obviously not as good as EUSEXUA, in my opinion, but I think that Afterglow has the highest highs (ie. Sushi, Stereo Boy, Cheap Hotel), definitely more than EUSEXUA. Twigs' work is just so interesting, she's truly one of the greatest artists of all time.
It's solid, definitely better than what others are saying. Sure, it's nothing special, but it's serviceable chill pop music. It's biggest flaw is the fact it plays it way too safe on each song besides "Bluest Flame" and "Sunset Blvd", which the latter just for the lyrics not the sonic direction. I am happy they seem to be happy, but I hope for Selena's next project she works with someone else.
Wow this was great!! It was definitely uneven, but the four incredible songs here really help it carry to this rating. This is definitely an album that'll take a few more listens to completely understand and appreciate. Excited to check out the rest of her discography, based on what I've heard so far I'm in for a treat. "Dopamine", "Talk to Me", "Light Up", and "Into the Sun" are incredible songs, probably some of the best from her.
Eh. I'd say good for a child but Brandy released "Brandy" at 15 and it is peak, and well this is frankly just mid.
Ooh this was great, much better than I was expecting. I had listened to a few of the songs before the album came out and wasn't feeling it, and when I saw all the praise I was confused and put off listening to the album for awhile. I'm glad I've listened to it now because it's genuinely quite great! There are a few stinkers on here, but a few of the tracks are so freaking incredible. I'm sure this will grow on me more over time. Excited to hear what's next for her!
Quite lackluster, but good for a debut. Reggae and dancehall aren't really my cup of tea, so I can see why others would enjoy this more than me. Besides the two hits, everything kinda just fell flat for me. "Pon de Replay" is one of the greatest debut singles, and "If It's Lovin' That You Want" is a banger. Start of a legendary career.

This was good!! I was expecting a bit more tbh, but still it was quite good. I don't get the "G-House" genre label, because it is nothing like G-house. I loved her voice, it is seductive and captivating, and the lyrics were quite simple but not bad by a long shot. The production on this album was great as well, it felt like a rush, that's the best way I can describe it.

Not much to say. Confused about the spider on the cover, not sure how it relates to a set of dreamy songs. The deluxe was more mixed for me than the og version, with half of the deluxe tracks (not including lives) were just boring, but she had 3 amazing songs on the album as well. Excited for "Loveland".
this is so amazing!!! this is unlike anything she's ever done before, it's almost sort of electronic. she popped off!! lets get her that #1!

Honestly, 4 tracks in I was super disappointed by this album, but the last five tracks were among the best tracks I've heard this decade, that last half is special music. I'm blown away, it is incredible that she was able to do this all by herself?! That is insane! I am gonna need to check out her earlier projects to see if she was always this good. If the last half is any indication, I cannot wait to see what is next for underscores.

Wow, what an album! This put such a smile on my face, I do feel more hopeful, thank you, Raye. I think this album was everything, it was joyful, warm, positive, hopeful, tender, heartwarming, ambitious, and beautiful. This is a great album, one that for sure I think will grow on me more, and is a contender for album of the year.

A someone who doesn't really care for her voice, I found this album to be pretty good, I think I would've loved this album if I liked her voice. It's solid work, the production is amazing, and "Sports Car" and "Revolving Door" are both amazing tracks. For me there's a few amazing songs, mainly just mid songs, but a few massive disappointments.

This was a good album! First off all, the obvious, what a voice, the vocalist of her generation, possibly the greatest vocalist of all time. A lot of these songs sounded similar which I didn't really enjoy, but one thing I can say I enjoyed about this album is that it helps to appreciate her later work, because wow, she evolved so much. What a legend.

What an amazing debut album from Brandy! The first four songs are so fucking good, I wasn't a big fan of the "Dedicate" interludes, but I decided to include them as one single track (6.3). Her voice is sooooo cool, and to be able to sing like that and write the songs she's writing, at 15 (!!) is insane! She's such a legend.
