Hot Fuss II isn't real it can't hurt you
Hot Fuss II:
Pretty good, this is the kind of stuff I've been looking for for years
After hearing this song you know everything it's gonna be alright
TURN THE BRIGHT LIGHTS ON 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
I rather prefer Deja Entendu but I totally understand why this album is so liked because it's so great, it's just not my style.
Starts pretty slow, but after I Will Play My Game Beneath the Spin Light, holy shit, easily one of the most consistent albums I've ever heard, specially from IWPMGBTSL to The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot, the next tracks are pretty good too!
Great!, the second half is better than the first IMO, the guitar lines, the drumming OMFG and the bass is great, Kele's voice suites pretty well with the aesthetic of the music, one of the best albums of the 2000's.
Best songs: Banquet, This Modern Live, Plans
Awesome, full of bangers and a very distinctive sound, more soft and quiet than Silent Alarm but it still keeps as much punch as it.
Best songs: Hunting for Witches, Waiting For The 7:18, I Still Remember
Instead of feeling sad this feels warmful, LP1 is a nice staple for the emo genre and a must-hear to understand the genre, it's a little redundant sometimes but it's a minor thread compared with the good things presented in the record.
Favorite song: Stay Home
Sorry but I can't see why so much hype with this, it's not even the best work of Smashing Pumpkins, definitely it's great, well produced, consistent and unique, but I can't tell this is a masterpiece.
Best songs: Today, Disarm, Cherub Rock
The New Abnormal it's a great collection of songs that are almost in the same level of quality, The Strokes sounded young again, you can really see the love and effort placed in this album and definitely it's one of the best records of the decade (at least to the moment).
Best songs: Selfless, Ode To The Mets, Why Sundays Are So Depressing?
Seriously the most overrated thing I've ever heard, I still couldn't find the greatness in this record, sounds awful and felt very disappointed for me, maybe I need more time to process it but idk.
Best songs: only shallow, sometimes, when you sleep (this one is great)
It took me another listening to the album to appreciate it more, Contemporary Movement is a nice but depressing trip to nowhere, it feels more gloomy and low-key than Stratosphere but also a little bit more produced than his predecessor.
Best songs: Me and The Birds, The Phantom Facing Me, The Breakup Suite
This is really great, Duster is the example of the greatness in the most simple things, with a very cheap and lo-fi production they did wonders.
The shortness of the lyrics and the sharpness of the instrumentals helped to build a very unique sound and created a new icon of the alt-rock, they also took the slowcore to the mainstream.
Best songs: Inside Out, Heading for The Door, Docking The Pod
I really like it, it's a wonderful and big album, and felt very consistent until the last songs that are pretty boring, but wow, I'm impressed with it, but my least favorite thing was the production, it felt a little raw, also the screams where a little too much.
Best songs: This is War, 100 Suns, Closer to the Edge
Worst songs: Strange in a Strange Land, L490
The first half is one of the best I've ever heard, it's almost perfect, but the second one feels a little boring, but it raises up to the end with Too Much Fun and Days of Lamech.
Best songs: I Drive a Lot, We're the Ordinary, Fell in Love at 22 (sounds like a lost Keane song, I really like it)
Worst songs: From Card Games and Old Friends to The Fashion Focus it's pretty lame.
People are being too harsh with this, TOSOMB it's a good record, improved from Marauder a lot and has some great songs (Gran Hotel felt so personal to me, I didn't expect that).
Best songs: Gran Hotel, Toni, Passenger
