This project fully turned me into a Yeat truther.

This is a sound that I'd been itching for but wasn't sure where I'd find it, and I certainly didn't think Yeat was going to pull it off like this. There's some insanely creative, innovative, and catchy stuff in here that has caused me to revisit the record quite a few times now. I've been a big fan of IDLES early work and have been listening and keeping my eye on them since "Joy as an Act of Resistance." was released in 2018. I loved how lively, abrasive and unapologetic their first couple of albums were. Obviously, artists will evolve their work over time, whether they refine their sound more or lean into more experimental production or concepts, this is to be expected. I really wish I liked the direction that IDLES was going in.

There's some pretty great stuff here! It's a very grand and expansive, yet tightly produced album, gorgeous vocals throughout. I feel like this is what Boygenius wants to be. Reminded me a lot of Weyes Blood, as well as some Marina influence at times which was interesting. However, not every track completely hit for me.
