Sugar Cherry's eerie and lo-fi sound, the fuzzy and haunting atmosphere with the mixture of Phil Elverum and Quadeca's IDMTHY into one big vulnerable release creates one of the best singer-songwriter albums of the year.
Favourite songs : If I Come Home and Every Knife In The House Was Mine.
Least favourite : I Just Want You To Want Me Like I Want You.
One of the more passionate and triumphant Jazz Rap albums of the year, with grand and lush production, that can also hibernate into soft pockets of beauty. Overall a consistently great experience, happy I got around to this before the end of the year, as it's worth every minute of your time.
Favourite songs : buzzerbeater / black christmas and glimpse of you.
Least favourite : stay the night.
This EP feels like sitting by a warm campfire despite being about the love for rain. There's something about her vocals and the way they glide effortlessly over the calming instrumentals, such a cozy experience.
Obviously there's some underdeveloped tracks, but nephew is a clear standout song and definitely on my shortlist for the best songs of the year, honestly. Give me a whole album of songs like that and i'm all in for calling it an AOTY contender. Definitely a huge switch ... read more
What a whimsy, playful and unique experience. Soothing and lush instrumentals complimented amazingly by Lausse's soft tone and engaging flow. It really feels like i'm front row at the most whimsical and over the top theatre play ever, but it's an undeniably fun experience and worth all the time.
Favourite songs : I.D.W.G.A.J. and Peonies for Breakfast.
Least favourite : Moonlight Waltz.
Transcending levels of tranquil beauty packaged into a 58 minute vibrant odyssey. I feel that with each track i'm hopping from one cloud to another. What a gentle way to treat music and bring it to life, wonderful.
Favourite songs : Lifeworld, Bumpy and Waterfalls.
Least favourite : For Residue.
So sick to see a Quad Colors show, perfect song to perform too. Beautifulllll.
What a way to wrap up one of the strongest years any artist has had in recent years. Such a one of one experience, a sound so impossible to pindown sonically, but lyrically, it's so irresistibly catchy. I'm flexing on my grandkids that I got to witness 2025 Jane Remover.
An album that should be universally recognised as the pinnacle of pop music. This is the best it's ever gonna get, so enjoy it.
One of the most immersive experiences of the year, the instrumentals wash you through this incredible, haunting and ethereal world, showing how consistent, one of a kind and genius Parannoul is as a world builder. Great album, just wished that track 2 and 5 were cut off a little bit near the tail end.
No matter the name, the music is still stunning. Korean Jesus for sure.

A strong prelude mixtape that helps up envision the quality of this upcoming album from MAVI. Production is silk, all features flowed so well and I can't wait for this upcoming album for sure, I've been hooked in!

A well-rounded debut mixtape, very sweet and introspective, got a nice 2000s feel through the warm vocals and bittersweet vibes.
