I was at some random antique shops today and found this album. Being intrigued by the album's cover and context given, I decided to buy it!
I must say this is my first time listening to Congolese choral music, and I'm pleasantly surprised! It's a short but wild and immersive experience that helped me get through my French homework, thanks to the choirs beautiful tribal vocal melodies and laid back instrumentation of shakers and bongos that bring everything together into this ... read more
This is one of Danny's best album covers, shit goes hard.
The Hybrid is a strong debut that foreshadows Danny’s generational run, though it suffers from some unnecessary bloat and poor mixing at times.
Danny’s rapping and flow are unmatched in pure, whimsical energy. Although his vocals sometimes fall flat in the mix, the production is genuinely impressive, the beats are insane and just needed better mixing to fully shine. The album really finds its stride around the halfway ... read more
Very wallpaper, predictable lyrics, and after 10 years we still get the same idea of Bruno Mars, pretty much. He's the biggest artist in the world so of course there is some quality in small spurts, but you wouldn't catch me listening to this ever again really, unless it's against my consent while on the car radio.
Favourite songs: On My Soul and Risk It All.
Least favourite: I Just Might.
Holy shit the beat on Lonely is insane, YT is yet another promising artist in the UK underground.
Incredible music video and the song is great too!!! Let's gooo blonderscoresss
I'm seeing Danny Brown live next month, so I think it's only right to do a discography dive before the concert!! Let's just say listening to this when I'm too used to the new Danny is a weird one for sure.
XXX's lyrical content is not for the most innocent of people, but it perfectly showcases Danny's aggressive and unapologetic breakthrough into the rap game. We basically get a 53 minute tape about Danny eating pussy and smoking his brains out, but it's ... read more
After an almost five-year wait, Baby Keem delivers a batch of tracks that feel like they were thrown together during a week’s worth of studio sessions. Although I do love his balance of introspection and upbeat energy, and it was an overall fun experience, I was just hoping for a more fully realized album that felt worth the long period of near disappearance.
Favourite songs: I am not a Lyricist and Ca$ino.
Least favourite: Good Flirts.
EDIT: Wait $ex Appeal might just be one of the ... read more
Really love when Dev goes all out on atmosphere in her songs, that's why I really loved songs with the volume on. Now to see her come back to this sound and add some wild distortion too, stunning.
Innervisions proved to be one of the most moving works of art of the 1970s. Although many people focus their attention on Songs in the Key of Life, Innervisions is a rapid-fire collection of bangers, rich in instrumentation and impossible to dislike. I’ve never met a Stevie Wonder hater, and this album perfectly illustrates why I probably never will.
Favourite songs: Too High, Golden Lady, Visions and Living for the City.
Least favourite: Jesus Children of America.
Although I concern for his versatility in sound, Gao is still pumping out some of the best music in the underground scene.
You can’t deny energy like this. The duo’s debut album is a thrilling experience that flies by, and once it’s over, you need a few minutes to catch your breath. There are no rules to the production, the quiet vocals still leave their mark, and the song structures disregard any sense of relaxation and run wild into your eardrums. Femtanyl has somehow dropped the best album of 2026 so far.
Favourite songs: HEAD UP, BODY THE PISTOL and SHOWS YOU THE WAY TO THE HIWAY.

I admire the glitchy and gothic atmosphere built on this soundtrack, just lacked some standout tracks overall. Still a good effort from Charli though.
Favourite songs: House and Dying for You.
Least favourite: Seeing Things.
Not as stunning as limn but still a great song, i'm very excited for her debut project!!!
Taking full control of the signature slushwave soundscape that feels so lush, like a blurry yet spiritual dream, TURQUOISEDEATH's alias delivers a vivid and immersive album, with each track inviting you to close your eyes and take it all in. I really love the Japanese samples and jazz influences as well. A great album overall.
Favourite songs: 影, 鏡の間 and 絶えず変化する.
Least favourite: どこにいるの?
Half Blood is an incredibly consistent rage project that fulfills the true potential of rage music. It’s chaotic, but not so chaotic that it loses its melody. That balance creates an irresistibly catchy experience, which is rare in rage music, and that’s what sets slayr apart from the rest. I can really see him becoming the next big artist to come out of the rage scene. Great album.
Favourite songs: Half Real, Death By MP3 and Holding.
Least favourite: 24/7.
After a fantastic Super Bowl Halftime Show, I decided to return to this Bad Bunny album that I wanted to get through before my year-end list, but unfortunately passed on.
DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS is an incredibly fun and unifying experience, that feels like a true celebration of Latin culture. Apart from a slight drop in pace from tracks 6-10, everything feels deeply heartfelt and the production is thrilling. From the unique synth work and classic Reggaetón drum beats to the ... read more
If a certain send-off, it's a fantastic send-off. The Fall-Offs double disc of dense lyricism, reflection and realisation is perfectly complemented by the perfectly balanced taste of beauty and aggression within the instrumentals. The Fall-Off gives you every reason to think that this is J.Cole's best work. Everything feels so honest, so human, and J.Cole embraces this. Full circle at its finest.
Favourite songs: SAFETY, 39 Intro, and I Love Her Again.
Least favourite: Only You.
