It's a weird and eeire switch-up from "this weird girl really likes rain", the sound I was familiar with from shteppi- and for the most part, this album is a pretty mixed and messy bag of lo-fi pop. It's cool to see her change up her sound, but I was hoping for something more structurally coherent and socially developed.
Favourite songs: she knows what she's doing and you're not alone, dummy.
Least favourite: look back.
This is sure to be one of the most interesting albums of the year, both contextually and sonically.
Lua Viana, under the name Antropoceno, follows up on her amazing 2025 record "Natureza Morta" with an album of pure beauty, doubling down on the environmental and cultural themes to bring you on an all-encompassing journey with "No Ritmo da Terra".
I loved her album last year, really feeling like a breath of fresh air in music as a whole, the mixture of MPB and Samba with ... read more
Not only is Saturation III possibly Brockhampton’s best work, but it’s also the perfect conclusion to the strongest year a hip hop group has ever had.
It’s their catchiest album, and the one that best showcases their chemistry at its peak. Although some flows can get repetitive (cough cough Ameer), there are still brilliant verses throughout the entire project.
I had my clear MVPs on the last two Saturations in terms of who preformed the best, but I really can't tell ... read more
For Peggy's standards of producing pretty meticulous albums, Experimental Rap could be a step away from that. Maybe more on the dirtier side, kinda reaching into Scaring The Hoes, but even more all over the place considering the 25 tracks. Either way, I'm excited. Great song, messy but the energy is there.
EDIT: Not too sure on this one now, still good, but sounds like something that would've landed on his ILDMLFY Director's Cut.
Not only is the stunning and spiritual music worth all your time, but Andre 3k's attitude and authenticity really shines through on here. I mean just look at the title of the first track, he knows what will bring him to the finest sense of tranquility and he's just running with it. Beautiful to see. Great album.
Favourites: Tracks 4 and 7.
Least favourite: Track 5.
SATURATION II further reinforces the ideas I had when listening to SATURATION I about how ahead of the curve Brockhampton were. They still have the same seamless chemistry, but the production is even better, adding a more nuanced sound to the melodic and experimental rap style of the time. Every hook is still soooo catchy, and of course wrapping the album up with SUMMER, oh my goddd what a song man.
Everyone played their part, but of course there were some standouts. I was really surprised by ... read more
There's reasons why C418 is compared to Mozart and Beethoven....
The most delicate musical compositions you'll ever hear, but most importantly, the nostalgia. It takes one single note for the music to transport me back to exploring the Minecraft tutorial map on the Xbox 360 in 2013. Nostalgia may be a feeling that grabs us more than any other, but sometimes that's a good thing.
Favourite songs: Danny, Sweden and Door.
Least favourite: Oxygène.
Perhaps the album that reminds me the most of cherry blossom trees. In many ways, this album blossoms with beauty too. Affectionate songwriting, delicate vocals, and an overall calming experience that serves as the perfect soundtrack for your spring existentialism.
Favourite songs: Hello again, Slowly and Nightvisions.
Least favourite: Now and then.
Such an important album, every note is cautioned and harnessed beautifully. So minimal but it doesn't go to waste. A great album to play in the background when needing to really defeat procrastination and lock in on something important. Nice experience overall.
Although Cameron Picton’s vocals throw me off at times, and many tracks seem to end abruptly before reaching their full potential, My New Band Believe prove themselves capable of creating beautiful instrumental palettes that grow into coherent, compelling pieces of art when fully fleshed out. I’m not completely blown away, but I’m excited to hear more from this band. A proper shame that Numerology is not on the album though, a SOTY contender.

A very well produced, fun and almost nostalgic experience to some old Hyperpop song structures. BURNMATERIAL is the clear standout track here, what an uplifting song, but I also love tracks like ( fallout ) and strawberry☆chop, two songs very reminiscent of Nurture by Porter Robinson.
Overall, although some tracks could've been explored further, tsubi club creates a punchy, glitchy and catchy experience that feels like a short but unforgettable dream.

Summer is around the corner, so you already know some new Mei Semones is the best way to prepare for it!!!
Beautiful collection of songs yet again, the song structures on here run ever so freely and it allows for an easy, comfortable listen, while also leaving you amazed by how impressive the guitar playing is. She don't miss!!
There’s something pleasant about MIKE and Earl’s tired, slurred delivery that complements these muffled, atmospheric trap beats, creating a project that sounds like returning home after a long day. It works as great background music, but it’s also something you can deeply unravel lyrically. I’m liking it!
Favourite songs: Minty, F.E.A.R. and Ew!
Least favourite: Locusts.
A Thundercat album is of course going to have insane musicianship, catchy hooks, and a stacked feature list that brings the whole experience together into one psychedelic journey with the grooviest bass lines. It’s let down a bit by some basic lyrics and an unnecessary second half though. Still a great album, but if it stopped at 11 tracks, it could be an AOTY contender.
Favourite songs: No More Lies, I Wish I Didn't Waste Your Time and She Knows Too Much.

The perfect album to listen to on Easter. It’s a real sugar rush of ADHD-style electronic music, there’s always something new every four bars. The sampling is incredibly creative, especially the way it flips grime rappers like AJ Tracey into something so colourful.
It’s hyper, so technically impressive, and overall such a vibrant album, filled with expression. I just wish the second half lived up to that unbelievable first half. Great album.

HALO shows great potential for Tiffany Day, who clearly has a knack for writing pretty good, bittersweet electro-pop tunes. However, her repetitive song structures muddy the flow of the overall experience. Most tracks are passable, but I found myself wishing for more authenticity, something I’m sure she can develop soon.
Favourite songs: START OVER, SAME LA and COPYCAT.
Least favourite: NO LUCK.
