cunty and slutty and rocketing down the highway. a banger filled experience with little stops and no time to catch a break. summer will be peak I can tell
nothing new but certainly a good time. catchy and flashy with soul and R&B sewn into it, this is just a simple, enjoyable project.
the energy and sound on this album is really infectious. the oasis hate is so forced and I will die on that hill. this album contains 2 of the greatest songs of all time, and I’m not talking about wonderwall.
up there with "brat" and "imaginal disk" for me. Tiffany day joins the pantheon of femme fueled hyper/electro pop artists breaking bounds and elevating what it means to make this kind of music. a play all summer album for sure.
a pillar of early pop punk and metalcore. ADTR knows how to blend bittersweet calm moments with bursts of aggression and intensity that doesn't feel disjointed or forced. this album is to me their magnum opus
I have always felt drawn to Tyler and his unwavering willingness to go against the grain - not for notoriety, but because that represents him best. this album is a continuation of that concept. he really is THE creator
mature, comedic, and packing punches left and right. regardless of the goofy ahh drake vs kendrick drama, this is the unapologetic work of one of hip hops greatest, giving us his meticulously articulated thoughts in a powerful way.
a sign of growth and change. Paramore doesn't step back at all with their new sound; in fact they shove it in our face and force us to confront it. all while doing a silly little jig
rating this after seeing them live, and they just have this aura about them that is intoxicating. they make me want to participate in a community garden and love thy neighbor. just good vibes and chill melodies, with the undertone of patriotism in the purest sense.
clever and funny writing, fun pop sounds, and quaint production, tied up in a neat bow. sometimes, music doesn’t have to be “deep” or “complex”. sometimes it can just be. and this does such a good job at that.
credit where credit is due, this is a very intricate and sonically dense album. however, it also just felt like an excuse to mash a bunch of sounds together that don’t go together and say “oh, but you don’t GET it.” I love experimental art but this felt soooo pretentious.
there is something so haunting and empty about this record. there is almost no production; simply a man and the guitar he’s playing. almost like he’s the last musician on earth. an example of excellently executed folk music.
the introspective, bitter sister of “folklore”, we feel the chill of the winter air that was woven into the tracks that make up this brilliant project. powerful, tear jerking lyrics backed up by simple, underproduced melodies, “evermore” has solidified itself as one of Swift’s most intellectually compelling works.
