score averaged out by all three tracks.
Im not crazy for Pardon Me, however the other two are insanely good.
Loving the productuon on Sorry Not Sorry, Conductor Williams did great on both halves.
The bars are great on all three tracks, really nice to have hiphop back
This project is such a thrilling listen, and anybody saying otherwise is probably a man who is too fragile about their masculinity. HAVE FUN DUDE!!
The production is the highlight of this project. It gives it such a strong identity. On tracks like "Illegal", we have these synths mixed with some bouncy drum patterns and an extremely catchy hook that ingrains itself into your head. There are also this pocket in the middle where the synths are taken out and the 808 takes the focus, as ... read more
the issue I find with these extras is that they are underbaked for the most part, and that's to be expected, its a deluxe, most of the tracks here are recycled tracks, demos or throwaways, that's not to say they are bad particularly, they are quite good, however wane in comparison to the main album, especially to IDK's standards. I like some of these tracks a lot, S.U. is a quality track, with a great chorus and charismatic feature that I enjoyed a lot, MARiO COiNS was a good ... read more
Although not bad, it is clear as to why these were scrapped. Two main issues with this one, it is bloated, and i just need to say that because of how perfect the original was. I found JPEG's older work monotonous to sit through (ironic given the style and length of each track) so i want to let it be known that I am glad this is a deluxe and not an actual release.
My next problem is that the quality of these extra tracks wane in comparison to the main tracks. Despite having general the same ... read more
it is enjoyable!!! not very notable but the beat isnt flat, which was my main problem with How To Impress God. other than that yeah its a quality track
Boldy sounds just as bored as i am.
I really don't have much to say. thid project was insubstantial. the production is super flat, Boldy's snoozy and lax voice does not fit the production at all. really the main issue is the songs sound flat. either the production, or Boldy isnt bringing enough, or both. It's a shame because on most tracks Boldy is rapping his ass off, a good example being Fish Grease, the one track where i feel Harry Fraud and Boldy James actually click ... read more
Arular is definitely wacky. alot of the production here is the most unique unheard-of with these random, unheard of samples that remind me alot of The Fat Of The Land by Prodigy. M.I.A.'s unique style of rapping honestly works to her advantage on these beats. although there are a few pockets of mediocrity, this definitely stands as a great project.
Favs: Pull Up The People, Becky Done Gun, Sunshowers, Fire, Fire. 10 Dollar, Galang, M.I.A.
Worst: U.R.A.Q.T.
A very solid release from Kendrick, a bit monotonous and not as prestigious as his other bodies of work, however he goes for a more braggadocious, fuck-the-world approach, carrying the westside on his back with him.
Favs: wacced out murals, luther, hey now, reincarnated, tv off, dodger blue, heart pt. 6, gloria
Worst: squabble up
He put his entire Gambussy into this, and it shows.
Donald Glover, renowned singer, songwriter, rapper, actor, and producer, he does it all. Previously this year he released the project "Atavista", an updated take on his 2020 album; "3.15.2020" a project that could not decide its identity, and was riddled with questionable choices and glaring flaws in an admittedly flawed time; during the peak of the start of Covid-19. With that in mind, it isn't hard to see why it was ... read more
Laugh Tracks is a visceral embodiment of vexation and incontrollable rage that thrives off the somber tones, the capricious, personal lyrics, and the heavy instrumentation. Truthfully, the rawness of this project is what makes it's anger feel so pure and convincing. when you have these kickass riffs, with a man screaming pique vendettas and trauma, broken down with these groovy breakdowns, it leaves you wanting more, especially on a 29 minute project, however the short runtime makes it ... read more
I love you mom
I notice that I often tend to overlook my relationship with my mother. I don't see her as much as I'd like, with her working downtown, or often being out to escape from my dad for the weekend. I don't tell her that I love her enough. Generally I see her after school twice a week, and in the morning. I am either too drained after a school day, or incredibly moody from just waking up. Regrettably a lot of the time I come off with attitude towards her, intentional or ... read more
Uzi takes a huge step back from literally all of their previous bodies of work. This isn't a sequel to Eternal Atake, this is it's own mess.
Production wise it's super flat, really no notoriety at all on this one, which is very out of character for Uzi, and really sucks the life out of this project like it's Lebron getting his powers stolen by the Nerdlucks. There are a few tracks where I feel the production is at least bearable, and does something to make a voice for the ... read more
That vagina bar on Wolverine is crazy.
Some smooth ass production by a plethora of producers, ranging from BNYX, and 454, to Pops.
Lyrically Gibbs is on his A game with tight bars (yes even the vagina bar) and some really introspective lyrics on his perception, and lost ones. On The Set being one of the main examples of this introspective lyricism, paying homage to MC's such as Pac, Biggie, and the most recent loss; Rich Homie Quan. this is a very solid release by Gibbs, it just lacks ... read more
