this shit takes forever to really get going, but when its on, its on, Greatist-Hits is one of Sublimes most underrated cuts, similarly Saw Red with Gwen Stefani is one of their strongest pieces to date. i like the faithfulness to the ska roots with short dub cuts, but for me, they end up being huge momentum killers in the grand scheme of things.

M.I.A. gives us a Christian hiphop album that lacks everything that defines her as an artist; the unique production pulling from around the world, the lyrical themes of oppresson and fighting the system, the unique vocal preformances, everything that seperated her from her contemporaries is absent here.

WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA is a gorgeously ugly album with abrasive production that is held back by the shallow lyrics.

i thought id like this more than i did, its right up my alley, electropop fuzed with elements of punk, dance, rave, but the way ths album presents itself can make it come off as demo-ish and rough around the edges in an unappealing way.
