Michael Gira FINALLY fixes his vocals, but the instrumentals become more gothic and industrial and noisy.
This album is a turning point for Swans, but not the turning point you know,in fact they became too noisy from this point and the songs here are pretty monotone, not changing their style even a little causing this album to be a little bit boring.
Fortunately though,It's the spooky season everyone and this album fits perfectly for a gothic inspired Halloween night!
So after all of this,i ... read more
This is the cruel, punk version of OK Computer in terms of lyrics.
The work these guys can make collaborating, with a raw as fuck production, this album is sick, and a very good album for Halloween dis year, all of this raw emotion in 13 tracks only for the last tracks,Moon in Marin,to shine with one of my fav riffs oat.
oh my fucking god.
So back when i listened to this for the first time (a week ago lmao) i was OBSESSED with the anime "Mob Psycho 100" and some elements, some lyrics, some EVERYTHING reminded me of some legendary moments in that anime.
I listened to the discs in two different days, and this is my review.
So we start with "Screen Shot"which is pretty interesting,i loved the lyrics and the atmosphere that builds.
Then "Just a Little Boy"is pretty strange (my previous ... read more
I'm a PAINKILLER fan and dis IS THE SHORTEST ALBUM EVER.
SO THE GUY BEGT (THE GUY THAT MADE THE SHORTEST ALBUM IN 2014)SHOULD SHUT.UP.
I'm jk it's okay
I WAS NOT EXPECTING THE SWITCH UP.
This song is good, but if this is an hindi inspired album, then why bring Trueno which is a latin pop artist?
This soundtrack is okay, but i don't like Kpop so...take it for what it is.
I didn't like the film and dis soundtrack was the culmination of my hate towards dis "franchise"that is made for spoiled kids.
I know that not everyone dat watched dis film is a spoiled kid victim of gentle parenting but...
Uh,idk what to put here, this album is ass,but a great Kpop album.
hmmmmm this sounds like Joy Division on Fentanyl.
Nah but for real this album is kinda strange.
My first two Swans album were The Great Annihilator and TBK and i'm kinda stupid to choose this as the third because it's so different.
Michael Gira sounds like a pig here,it's strange cuz his vocals would become a good thing for Swans in future.
Instead,instrumentals here are crazyyyy.
Fav songs:Stay Here,PowerFor Power and Gang.
Worst Ones:Big Strong Boss,Freak,Right wrong.
she wants to money grab his fanbase like she's not millionaireðð
This is a good gothic album, often going into a more shoegazy style.
Sometimes the tracks have really good potential but they end too soon, also,we have top 5 rock disstracks (Celebrity Lifestyle)lmao.
This album is kinda strange but i love it.The tracks do some really unnecessary fadeout and the transitions are so bad.(I'msorry)
Not all the songs here are THAT good except for like 4 to 5 songs, the rest is pretty great but the instrumentals are lame and they don't change.
It's ... read more
You can see how much they influenced Aphex Twin.Peak electronic?Idk.
This album is a summary of all the shit we've been going through the last 30 years.Wow.This is the moment where Radiohead define their sound and say:"We want to be part of history".
Almost all the songs here are classics, this feels like a greatest hits.
Maybe the best Concept Album ever along with The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway and The Pink Floyd 4 album run.
Definetely a bit too repetitive, but BRO,55 mins of jams that don't go anywhere and it's like the same 4 min loop over and over again make this album lose your mental sanity at the 35 minute mark.
Even though these were the cons, these are the pros.
It feels majestic,it reminds me of dat section of Close to the Edge with the crazy organ solo, but repeated with some crazy guitars for 28 minute straight a song.
I like this album, but it just feels a bit too repetitive, and only when the ... read more
This is the worst thing i've ever heard.
How did my music taste goes from 98.12.28 to thisðð
I'm sorry for him, music industry mistreated him,BUT AT LEAST MAKE A GOOD ALBUM
