Came back to this album for the first time since 2020 and I am honestly ashamed I wrote this album off the way I did back then.

Raw compared to his other releases, pretty plain in most of what it does but his voice is perfect as it always is. Very groovy most of the time but can grow into the indie pop sound that plagued 2018 pretty quickly and become very stale.
Drake finally started trying again! I have been a solid fan of the new style that drake has had since CLB. I find his modern references in his writing enjoyable and the production evolution him and his producers over the last few years has been spectacular to see. One of Drake’s best albums ever, production is honed in to such a smooth and recognizable edge, harkening back to old drake perfectly while being newer than ever. Unlike "Maid of Honour" the tracks here are real, Drake’s love story is laid out beautifully spanning multiple albums, culminating on this release.
