Such a stroooong staart! I love how when the vocals reach its end, she lets the instrumental keep going, it doesn't feel like a micdrop, just a let it run its course until its complete. I did not realize how many singles came out of this album, I went in feeling like I know so much already. Gosh this is a really fun album, there are some songs that kind of pull you out of it a bit, but the start and end really tie the knot of putting you back in and locking it. I'm so proud of Hemlocke! She just keep improving over and over agaaaain :D One thing is for sure, you will not be bored with this album, I love how she keeps it quirky and a vibe. Those three singles got the umph that I wish the album could've kept going, some of the production doesn't really go anywhere, but it doesn't pull you out due to Olivia's gorgeous voice. I wish the last song had some sort of outro so that it felt like it was ending, otherwise pretty solid album
Its a solid fun time, and very easy listen. Some songs should've dragged its ending a bit longer, it's abrupt cuts pull you out of it. I enjoyed this, wish she can explore more of hot & sexy's and girl's girl sound.
Lyrically weak, some fun tracks, with a self titled lp, expected more details surrounding what kind of story/sound/image she's trying to portray, and give us a future look at what her artistry will be like in the future. Its a safe album, but it could've been more esp with the singles run she was doing.
The first half of the album is so strong, just that intro you know what you're getting into and it keeps that consistency. If she had blended the ballads inbetween the pop listings it would be a better smooth course. But it doesn't take you out of the album. Begin again is such a powerful song and the instrumentals oh my GOOOOOSH! Terrific album
the start has a good entry to what I thought the whole album was gonna sound like, the path and solar power and mood ring are the only ones I feel capture the whole "sun" theme. too many boring ballads that pulled me out of the album. It could've been amazing if she had made the sound in those three songs be consistent in the whole album.
This had potential, rush is just so perfect, but the quality of the other songs slowly fell afterwards. The first three was keeping the momentum, but then the production started to grow dull and the lyrism wasn't clever anymore.
