Not much to say about this honestly. Really solid moody vibes, perfect for some background rainy day noise. For my first King Krule album, pleasantly surprised.
Wanted to listen to this after watching Jackie Brown. This is such a vibe — 70s smooth soul is something else.
music video is incredibly scott pilgrim coded and song is some of the catchiest indie rock I've discovered organically
Really, really great album. I dunno how or why it took me so long to listen to more Griselda records, but here I am finally. This was immaculate. The smoothest, most heartfelt boom bap of the 2020s. He's just got that talent, that New York gift. Lyrics don't usually imprint on me, but Conway's are so slick, I love it.
Damn. Really nothing good apart from the tracks I had already added beforehand by chance. Those ones are some really nice west coast, jazzy, laid-back tracks but otherwise the rest isn't it.
Decent stuff. Nothing bad, nothing crazy. Some good boom bap tunes from Mr. Westside Gunn. Eggz is the stand out track for me, the one that got me to listen to the entire mixtape.
Really solid stuff. Feels truely like one of those underground indie bands you'd be lucky to see in concert.
I liked this a decent amount! Really fun underground indie rock to have on in the background.
I feel kinda bad clairo doesn't have a clairo to listen to, it's margo guryan.
Holy fucking shit. This was a goddamn listening experience. Very new to black metal — my first ever record so this is definitely out of my wheelhouse — but this absolutely rocks. I needed something exactly like this to get through my night, and this delivered. I had this album saved in the library and just thought the cover looked sick and realized it might be exactly the mood I was looking for. I don't even have the vocabulary or knowledge of the metal world to describe what ... read more
Came back to this — one of the first albums I listened to out of my comfort zone. Still a great listen. Not exactly my speed, and maybe aged a little cringe for my taste, but still a "classic" despite having little knowledge of nu metal. I will say that after a year of deepening my music taste, this holds up and definitely gives off a very specific image of angsty teens in 2000s southern California.
I don't think I would've ever expected to be such a big fan of alt metal, but this is the fucking shit. My second Deftones LP after a long hiatus. I liked Around the Fur a lot, and I think I love this angsty, ethereal, softer vibe even more. You can definitely feel the 2000s era in this, it very much transports you back. I have a lot to learn and discover about Deftones and the alt metal genre, but it's quickly becoming one of the easiest genres to listen to with headphones. And ... read more
Had listened to few of the tracks on this mixtape for a while, finally went through the whole thing. Decent af. Trap metal to drown out the noise.
Just some great eardrum explosive rage/trap metal with energetic and political themes thrown in there. Not much to say other than really solid stuff to blast.
I was feeling something soft and comforting and this was exactly what I needed. I had listened to Far Caspian's latest release a bit ago, and this older release did not disappoint. Beautiful record. I love it. This soft dreamy, hazy, shoegaze is really getting me in the feels. The more upbeat tracks like "Plans" are really nice too, but at the moment I'm in a certain mood and I was taken over by the listening experience and was really digging the emotional tracks. Listen to ... read more
This was a fucking throwback holy shit. I was listening to this thinking I was the coolest teen ever. I knew about Pop Smoke while my french speaking friends listened to whatever shit they were listening to. I finally went through the entire album. Coming back to this isn't that bad honestly, this is middle of the road stuff, but decent. Feels so frozen in time though — nothing more 2020 than some late night drill haha — for me at least.
Listened to this on a peaceful little walk in the countryside on a partly cloudy day. This was really nice — exactly what I expected, with a few outliers that were extraaa smooth. His voice reminded me of Steve Lacy.
I hadn't heard of Dijon until his 2025 release, and had to check out this one due to Talk Down being in everyone's playlists and its great sample.
Smooth, groovy, psychedelic and slighty slower and emotional than I expected, but in a good way. Got some great ... read more
