I think I stumbled upon the "To Love Somebody" and "Die Happy" singles through spotify recommendations and immediately fell in love. Very addictive pop sound, I couldn't stop listening to those singles, such a distinct vibe that's translated well through the rest of this album, as well as the cover itself! Couldn't have predicted she was english either. A great lil' breakup/love songs albums.
Really fresh hardcore rap rock, exactly what I expected from the one single I listened to: infynite. Will inevitably make you bob your head and give you "stank face".
awesome. instant classic. I can't stop going through takanaka's catalog, it's just automatic jazzy groovy beach vibes.
Shit. I had hope that Playboy and Different weren't one hit wonders. It's kinda the case tho. Different is definitely a 85+ track but the rest is derivative.
It doesn't get much better than this. Perfect fresh indie, country rock summer album. Invite your friends over for a cookout, put this on. In every universe the vibes are lit. And if they don't like it, it's on them for not liking good music.
One of the first projects where I realized rock can be fresh and fun, rated this a 90, n you know what let's bump that shit up to a 95. fuck it
I dunno actually. Obviously have some trouble with the EDM genre, but despite that I did add every single song. It's not that it's bad, I know it's technically really well made, but it doesn't elicit much for me. underscore's previous album was more personified imo. I really dunno. We'll see i guess.
Nope. Apart from track 1,2,5 and 8, this album is not it. Maybe it's Ferg — I've never followed his music closely, seems like he fell off (immensely), but this album just didn't age well imo. (which I guess tells me I won't be listening to any of his other projects since it only goes down from here.) The 2010s trap sound works well for a few tracks, but otherwise I felt like I was just being yelled at in the club with a side of badly-aged, cringe 2010s trap sound.
I mean... what can I say that hasn't already been said a quadrillion times. This album is — to me, and maybe a big chunk of people — the best album of all time. (As in GOAT, not personal favorite... Obviously there are so many contenders, but as for Pink Floyd and the Beatles, they were never as much my jazz as this ecstasy for your earholes.) I don't claim to be a super fan of Fleetwood Mac at all, but their sound is just something humankind will never reproduce, ever ... read more
Relistened to this LP a handful of times — it's so short yet so fucking good. This was one of my first AOTY listens, and coming back to it, it's even better than before. PinkPantheress' sound is not to be underestimated — it is incredibly addictive, energetic and really fkn fun. There's no way you don't bop your head to at least one track.
She did a great job curating a collection of tracks that are all almost perfect modern UK Garage bangers. Makes sense ... read more
Great little 80s nugget. Rain Forest was going viral on tiktok, it sounded great so I decided to check it out. Nothing fantastic, but very decent nonetheless. Kinda the mood I'm into right now: groovy background music without much distracting vocals.
Great music. You can definitely feel the creative passion. Fun, freeing, and even sometimes a lil' goofy, summer beach vibes that sound like what humans would make if we lived in a timeline where capitalism never came to be.
My first Grateful Dead album. I've heard many good things about this band, seems like deadheads are some of the best people there are. Even before getting into a little bit of everything, country rock & soft rock were always my kinda jam. This album reminds me of the beginning of my music listening journey with the band America.
Great country and folk vibes, feels exactly how I imagine 70s America sounding like. Feels like I'm in that scene in the tour bus in Almost Famous. Pure ... read more
Du caca qui sort d'un cul. Jamais ça aurait dû sortir du studio. J'admets Brr, Blizzard et Elévation ont un ptit quelque chose mais c'est limite.
