Radiohead - In Rainbows

I still think Ok Computer is technically a better album, but OH MY GOD THIS ALBUM IS GORGEOUS

It honestly was so refreshing after their electronica experimentation during the 2000's. Those records are still great for the most part, but when I hear this album, I feel that simplicity is sometimes needed to fall in love with music.

Well, its kinda ironic how I described this as simple. It's not simple, there are so many details and melodies that compose these songs, but unlike other ... read more

Taylor Swift - Midnights

First things first. No, ya'll don't understand Anti-hero. It's one of her best written songs of all time

With that being said, this album actually didn't age that well for me. It definitely has some quality elements and good lines. It's just that after revisiting folklore, and listening to her last album, it's kinda sad for me to realize this is where things started going wrong.

The Midnights sound stuck with Taylor for some reason. Her next records still have ... read more

Jeff Buckley - Grace

It's so sad to know this is his only record. The legend that he could've been... except he is

Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS
85

Olivia makes her best music when she's unafraid to express how messy she is actually, and that's exactly what this album embodies. It's liberating and confessional but not only in a melodramatic way like SOUR, but she allows herself to have fun with it. I really want this girl to do great

Ok so this is my first nominee for ⭐AOTY 2026⭐

I decided to not rate my nominees on this site until the end of the year, and I'm also not gonna actually review it until later, since I really want to do decent reviews of these albums

Radiohead - The Bends
85

lowkey i miss this radiohead. I definitely appreciate what they did after that and we wouldnt really have the Radiohead we know today without Kid A, but this album shows that even if they had sticked to a more conventional rock sound, they would've still been great

Kylie Minogue - Fever
81

this is pretty much what a standard good pop album is, but the fact that this still sounds fresh in 2026 makes me appreciate it better

Noah Kahan - The Great Divide
66

did this really need to be that long? i actually felt asleep on first listen

Olivia Rodrigo - SOUR
80

an album I maybe gave a little too much when it came out. it has aged a bit for me but some of the songs really showcased strongly what she was going for and makes you understand why she's maybe the biggest artist who debuted this decade

Noah Kahan - Stick Season
75

A perfect tracklist for this album would look somthing like this in my opinion
1. Northern Attitude
2. Stick Season
3. All My Love
4. She Calls Me Back
5. Come Over
6. Everywhere Everything
7. Orange Juice
8. Your Needs, My Needs
9. Dial Drunk
10. Paul Revere
11. No Complaints
12. Call Your Mom
13. You're Gonna Go Far
14. The View Between Villages

seriously why did it have to draaaag so much in the middle?? and why are the bonus tracks better??

Arctic Monkeys - Suck It and See
67

oh god this was a huge dissapointment. i can hardly remember what this sounded like except the title track

also, what the hell is library pictures even about?? i dont remember what it sounds like but i remember being madly confused

RAYE - THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.
77

A vulnerable, raw, powerful, over the top, and sadly uneven masterpiece

I have so many thoughts abour this project, which makes it automatically one of the defining albums of the year. There are just so many great qualities about this album, RAYE's vocals, her over the top lyricism that usually works, just the fact that at times this is basically a musical. And that kinda is part of my problem. Sometimes is too over the top, even ridicolous, which I guess is part of the spirit of the ... read more

Taylor Swift - folklore

Arguibly, not only Taylor Swift's best album, its also Taylor's greatest decision of her career

This album effectively revitalized her career, its her renaissance, the album I always wanted her to make. Creating an album not just focused on her songwriting, but also with the premise of being narrated from multiple people's perspectives, is what maximized her strenghts and thus, created the album that best represents her habilities and clicks the most with the public.

Its a ... read more

Radiohead - Amnesiac

definitely not a b sides album. it clearly obviously continues the topics and sound palette of kid a, but this one is far darker and unconventional, also weaker sadly

also... no, pulk/pull doesnt deserve that score. I understand its not something for every day, but come on

Arctic Monkeys - Humbug
74

some good songs for sure, but kind of a let down after THE favorite worst nightmare

Harry Styles - Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.
70

not exactly a review but in my opinion, the biggest mistake of this album is the mixing of Harry's voice. in the big majority of the songs his voice sounds like its under the production layer, which isnt bad on its own, but I think is a big reason why it can easily get boring. This kind of dance music needs a bit of life from the vocal performance, and Harry isnt really giving that, or doesnt sound like he is doing it

in general, a bit of a boring take on dance music, and he really shor ... read more

PinkPantheress - Fancy That

not really an album or mixtape, its more like a 20minute track designed for gay parties but this thing is excellent on that

The Weeknd - After Hours
88

The Weeknd's magnum opus

Taylor Swift - 1989
83

my only complaints:
1. Bad Blood
2. why would you not include New Romantics on the original version? It's one of your best songs
