This is pretty much a baseline for a good album. All the songs are performed fantastically by Stevie Wonder and company. They don't necessarily have any cohesion once slapped together in an album and the mixing leaves a little to be desired, but it's nothing that will make me turn any of these tracks off. It's nothing life changing, just really solid, pure ear candy.
Blu & Exile dish out their best material across a 95 minute epic. Aurora is sort of a weird figure for me. I think that she has a phenomenal voice and I'm very glad that a large modern artist embraces a very humanistic, almost tribal approach to purely positive pop music. However, I think her main detriment is her lyrics. While overly simplistic lyrics are something that I can get behind, they have to be used with great intentionality. I think the biggest detriment to this album is that it isn't very interesting. Like yeah the productions good, there are definitely hits on this album, just Kanye doesn't do a good job of making me care.
