SCARING THE HOES is a refreshing break from generic hip hop/rap, with beats that are so disgustingly experimental, in your face and truly scary. Peggy's production seems effortless and compliments his and Danny's collaboration, their styles so cohesive that no one out-performs the other on each track. This is my favourite Peggy album, BRING ON SCARING THE HOES VOL. 2!!!
Top 3 tracks: Lean Beef Patty, Burfict!, God Loves you.
good kid m.A.A.d city shares a gripping narrative involving Kendrick's meaningful experiences, thoughts concerning his fame and west-coast life. The versatility in this album captures a wide audience, with numerous mood, beat and tempo switches. Dr Dre and Kendrick's chemistry never misses and we are ... read more
Just a raw, fun session w/ Peggy and Flume. "You had your vegemite this morning" probably the best part of the EP, probably would not listen to it again. Not in-love with Peggy autotuned either.
ESCAPE PLAN has a very catchy hook, with a great flow and sound effects along with a dark vibe, building up the anticipation for UTOPIA. MAFIA is a masterclass late-night drive single and definitely my ... read more
JID's most exciting LP yet, with so many meaningful stories/lessons, incredible hooks and flawless flows (flow GOAT). His voice is phenomenal and the ability to consistently deliver a mix of rap tracks with crazy beats AND soulful R&B tracks just proves his strengths do not just lie in being a rapper. I love this showcase of his talent, makes me excited for what more he has coming...
Top 3 tracks: Sistanem, Kody Blu 31, Dance Now.
