Curry's TA13OO is another vibrant mix of tracks that incorporate Zel's ability to spit hard on a beat but also bring a psychedelic and relaxed vibe. His versatility is crazy and offers something for everyone. There are so many catchy choruses and hooks within this LP. With this though, some tracks are bland with little topic matter in the verses. However, his lyricism (when he does flesh out his verses) is amazing. Definitely an artist to watch.

Kendrick has delivered us with another LP filled with bangers, DAMN. I love the mix on this record between slow, chill tracks and his classic, eventful and energising storytelling. I love the production and simplicity K. has emphasised. The one-word track titles are perfect for the message of the song. Alrhough not as deep or insightful as TPAB or GKMC, every track is a banger, hence he continues to show us he is the GOAT.
Top 3 tracks: DUCKWORTH., XXX., PRIDE.
Vultures 1 is trash. There are minimal listenable tracks. Ty's performance attempts to pick up the album's value and decency, but Kanye should have just kept this one unreleased. There is a lack of impactful lyricism, messages or the astounding production Mr. West is known for.
Top 3 tracks: BURN, STARS, DO IT.
CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST is packed with bangers. Tyler's flow and lyricism is admirable and consistent with each track. His voice is so versatile which fits multiple genres: rap, jazz, alternative, neo-soul, etc. I love that he can rap on softer tracks, it is so pleasing to the ears. Tyler is proving to be one of the only rappers who can master that wide vocal range without drenching it in effects and autotune. This enhances his variety of music and ability to produce music for a number of ... read more
DiCaprio 2 portrays JID's versatility and his ability to spit on a slower R&B beat to crazy hype hit. The features on this album display great chemistry with Jiddy, however his solo tracks are insane. Love the production and beats on this album along with his masterclass flow, making for exciting tracks.
Top 3 tracks: Slick Talk, Off Da Zoinkys, 151 Rum.
Days Before Rodeo provides us with an insight into the artist that is Travis Scott today. his original trap vibe and level of production. Of course, most tracks on the album surround drugs, alcohol, women, etc. but they are engaging and psychedelic. It is clear that Travis started with this dark and eerie theme to his trap music and continued to utilise it to compose Rodeo (although later LPs ASTROWORLD and UTOPIA offer greater diversity). We see that Travis and Thug's chemistry goes way ... read more
Stoney is my favourite album of Posty's, as a debut I find it quite impressive. There are a lot of songs with a catchy chorus and memorable verses. Malone shares his experiences with the fame and attention he is receiving, and the implications it can have (Congratulations and Patient). While some tracks are more emotional tributes that are popularised because of relatability, for example Fall Apart and Go Flex. Also, Posty's guitar performance on Feeling Whitney is astonishing and ... read more
Vultures 2. Kanye, what is this? Should have just left it at Vultures 1, that was enough. FRIED is just another CARNIVAL but 10x worse. Thugger and Don feature was the highlight along with Ty's attempts to cover for Kanye's performance. Wish I got those 49 minutes of my life back.
Top 3 tracks (mainly the ones that are actually listenable): FIELD TRIP, 530, FOREVER ROLLING.
untitled unmastered remains untitled but I consider them mastered, damn Kendrick this LP is catchy with some jazzy and funky beats where he layers his incredible rap flow and it works! From darker tracks like untitled 02 to upbeat songs like untitled 08, this album encompasses a large audience as there is something for everyone. I wish this album was longer and it just shows the potential Kendrick had and - has in the modern day (2024) - lived up to.
Top 3 tracks: 02, 06, 05.
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is a masterpiece, depicting Kendrick's emotions, heart and soul. His vulnerability is honourable and the list of tracks feels like a journey of self-reflection, ending on Mirror where he essentially chooses himself. The reflective nature of this album and intricate storytelling is mesmerizing and some of his best yet. The features absolutely kill it, and the production reflects the mood along with the message Kendrick portrays. I love that he shares ... read more
GNX will definitely grow to be another classic from Kendrick. Victory lap around Drake since he barely advertised this release, and it has blown up. This new LP allows us to hear how diverse Kenny's voice is, from slow beats like luther to MUSTARDDDDD. The Spanish dialogue with the heavy chorus echo in the back is heavenly, especially as an opener. I am in awe, the production and beats behind some of these tracks is just *chef's kiss*. Definitely Kendrick's most fun album. I hope ... read more
Revenge of the Dreamers III is an exciting collaborative album that creates hard-hitting songs out of the artists involved. I love tracks like Down Bad and Under The Sun, where the song just keeps building, leaving audiences waiting for the next feature verse that goes harder if not just as hard as the last. DaBaby just casually dropped one of his hardest verses ever, which starts the album off perfectly. Also, Kendrick makes a hidden appearance! Some tracks feel like skits rather than a song ... read more
HARDSTONE PSYCHO is another Don Toliver release that showcases his versatility. From slow R&B style tracks to crazy hype tracks, this LP has a variety of bangers for a variety of occasions (late night drives, parties, gym, etc.). Although Don's voice is - at times - drenched in auto-tune, it sounds good and catchy on the tracks with good production. The instrumentals are experimental and with rap synchronise to make a new sound, for example in TORE UP. I think Don's rap on BROTHER ... read more
Heroes & Villains is one of my favourite Metro albums to date (2024). Don Toliver outperformed all features on this album, definitely excited to see what more him and Metro collab on. Morgan Freeman's dialogue and cuts from Homelander make the LP cold, really enhancing the theme/title and build excitement for the next track. The smooth transitions make the album flow, Thug's outro on Metro Spider into Can't Save You gets me gassed every time. There are a variety of hype and ... read more
Graduation is filled with some of Kanye's best/most famous tracks. This album's production is amazing, continuing to show how Kanye is pivotal to rap and hip-hop. The lyricism and flow on this LP is astounding. There are few weaker tracks that are not in my constant rotation, but besides that is one of my favourite Kanye albums.
Top 3 tracks: Homecoming, Champion, Can't Tell Me Nothing.
MBDTF is another incredibly crafted Kanye album. The production, samples and features are selectively collated by Ye to make the LP memorable. Kanye definitely has tracks with better rapping and lyricism from himself, however a story and certain messages are still communicated. This album will be a classic and contains some of Mr. West's best tracks.
Top 3 tracks: Devil in a New Dress, Runaway, Dark Fantasy.
KOTMS II is dense with Curry's heavy production and vocals. His flow on this album is still impressive with catchy track hooks that are memorable and constantly in my rotation. Compared to his last album, KOTMS II has less variety, flooded with upbeat songs rather than a mix of slow beats and hype songs. The features on this LP demonstrate great chemistry with Zeltron and add flavour to these tracks (A$AP Rocky on HOODLUMZ is just insane). Melt My Eyes See Your Future definitely ranks ... read more
Channel Orange is a piece of art that combines worlds of R&B, love confessions and soul sounds. Certain tracks within this LP impressively build from a subtle opening to a climax or total vibe switch which is soo engaging and makes me want to replay it millions of times (basically two songs in one). Frank's vocal range is absolutely amazing which defines him as a generational artist. I could scream, cry, vibe or sleep listening to this album as there is a multitude of versatility that ... read more
SZA's Ctrl is a beautiful album that showcases her incredible vocal range, flow and lyricism. Various tracks explore themes of jealousy, insecurities and the female desire/pressure to meet certain standards which I think a lot of people can relate to (not just women). The tracks are memorable and create a beautiful flow, especially with the touch of Solana's mother's dialogue. This record demonstrates her growth as an artist and shows she has so much to offer in the R&B and ... read more
ASTROWORLD is a consistent Trav record that flows smoothly from track to track. The production and beat switches are mesmerising which makes the song engaging and you’re left wanting more. So many psychedelic bangers along with some hype songs which again shows his versatility. This LP has some great features like Tame Impala, The Weeknd, Don Toliver, Frank Ocean and James Blake who really stand out and make the performance of the song that much better. There are only a few misses on this ... read more
