A pretty good through back record to the smooth soul era. Having Bruno and Paak on the same record is a perfect combo for both being artist to dabble in older genres of music. Front to back this thing is very consistent and is one of the most sexiest projects to have come out in 2021. The singles for this thing is great with smokin out the window being a great classic soul song and fly as me with its great funk really being nostalgic to me. Even though this thing is only 30min, it is a blast to ... read more
Some really freaking great synthpop. Currents was my introduction to Tame Impala and tho i'm likely going to listen to his other projects someday, this record is great front to back. The lps pace is pretty cool having a great start middle and end with Let It Happen witch i think is the most experimental this Thing gets, the mega hit The Less I Know The Better and one of my favorite ending tracks New Person ,Same Old Mistakes sounding indcredible and sounding like your ascending into space ... read more
Shows promise with Harry starting his solo career, however having already listened to Fine Line and Harrys House, i can't feel but think this is a little lack luster in my opinion. Not alot of memorable momments on this lp, tho Kiwi is pretty cool and reminds me of Queen Bitch by David Bowie with how hard it hits. To be honest this entire record reminds me of Hunky Dory by Bowie accept if it was waterd down. Most tracks on this record feel forgettable to me and i would rather listen to fine ... read more
This was my introduction to hip-hop and man what an indcredible introduction to say the least. First time listening to this record was me being blown away by some of DOOMs rapping but some of it clicked for me and some not, but on more listens it really clicked for me. whether your blown away by DOOMs fantastik rapping and wordplay or enjoy the great production and beats by madlib, there is alot to enjoy and both of them make a great team of villains. This record is really a great collection of ... read more
First two and last two tracks starts this and ends this project amazingly. i kinda wrote Denzel of as another lazy trap artist, however tho he is trap, he manages to spice it up with some fantastic beats and production. Melt My Eyez See Your Future is pretty consistent through out it's run time and manages to have great bangers, slow jams and some introspektiv lyrics about the Zel himself, really shows a new side of himself with tracks like The Ills and Melt Session #1. Denzel really has proven ... read more
This album is one where i can say that it grew on me more then any album has done for me.There are not alot of albums that feel personal to me but somehow blonde has managed to soundtrack my entire year of boarding school, the ups and downs i had and every single little momment has become a time capsule for me with this project. It has never gotten old for me and i keep coming back to find knew cool things to love about it. Tracks like Nikes, Ivy, White Ferrari, Close to You and Seigfried have ... read more
This was one of my most anticipated albums of 2022 after abel came out with his great record, after hours witch i loved when it first debuted. Honestly i'm loving this new phase of the weekend and Dawn FM is just After Hours but on staroiods with it's 80s throwback. First listinging to this project made me pretty nerovus with how it was going to be, especially starting it of with Gasoline, witch i think is one of the more risk but rewarding tracks from the weeknd. Starting with the first half ... read more
Too me Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers came out a time when i needed it the most. First listening to this project was with a friend and both are reactions were that it's definitely a record that needed a few more required listens, and it did. With me putting more time into mm&tbs the more it all started to make sence rather then sounding like it was all over the place. I think we all had an expectation of what kendrick was going to do on this record and yet somehow he blew all are ... read more
One of ye's more laid back and raw projects, and was part of is little era of him making very short form albums. ye looks at kanyes mental health and psyche and manages to be captivating and brings a little bit of emotion. For me the second half of this record manages to bring great emotion and feels like that kanye is finally finding some inner peace after all he has been through and reflects on his entire career. Like Kids See Ghosts it's a pretty good 23 minute experince and has pretty good ... read more
When this album decides use it's samples to it's use mixed with Beyonces vocals, then songs like I'M THAT GIRL and BREAK MY SOUL just really elevates this record for me. The house and dance pop is pretty nice and fits beyonce well, however i feel that RENAISSANCE in some way overstays it's wellcome with it's one hour run time. Some of the tracks er pretty great on here but at the end i feel that some of them just feel like filler. But overall RENAISSANCE can be a pretty good jam sometimes, ... read more
Kids See Ghosts is an indcredible 23 minute experience that manages to both Highlight the great talents of Kanye West and Kid Cudi as some of the coolest guys in town. KSG is short, simple and manages to have great replay value with some great bangers like, Feel The Love, 4th Dimension and Reborn. It's easily some of the best work both of them have done in they're career and It's just them having alot of fun. Other songs like Fire, Freeeeeeeeeeee and the title track are incredible aswell, and ... read more
Even though i have never listened to Emotion up indtil now, it feels extremely nostalgic to me, not only for it's sound but hearing some of Carly's songs on the radio aswell. Emotion is definitely one of the most happiest albums on earth and the three track run at the start of the Lp is just chefs kiss. However with having some of the 3 best songs at the start kinda kills the pace and never goes on that same high again, but cuts like All That, Gimmie Love and Your Type are pretty good. In ... read more
Its been a while since i had listened to Plastic Beach, probably been a year since i listened to it when i started diving in to Gorillaz. But coming back to it again, i will say that it has managed to hold op very well. Gorillaz has always been daring to try out new things and for the most part it has worked out very well. Plastic Beach just has a unik sound to it that i don't see anywhere else or any artist do for that matter and that makes it very special and that goes for the tracks on this ... read more
A bit of an improvement from fine line in my opinion and is overall one of Harry's best projects to have come out of his solo career, not that he really had any competition with his former members since they tried aswell and fell off. For that i got to give Harry credit for still standing even after the breakup. I feel that i have the same relationship like with fine line just being ok but where it differs is that i might actually come back to these songs. Each song has something to offer and a ... read more
Edit: Nah dude this shit bussin, might do a re-review on this thing one day, but easy ten on this one
Original rating: 98-100
After being introduced to Mr Morale and the big steppers i immediately fell love with Kendrick and his music. I had always known that this project had a big reputation for being one of kendricks best albums and even the best rap album of all time. So when i started to listened to him, i got to TPAB efter listening to Good Kid MAAD city, i can say that this Lp as they ... read more
A friend recommended this to me while i was in Portugal, since it is a Portuguese album and after hearing Øporto i can say that i was not disappointed by this record. Emmy Curl manages to combine her soft yet beautiful voice to both Portuguese and english witch sounds pleasing and relaxing, even tho i don't understand Portuguese i think it sounds great none the less. The first side of the record is with Emmy singing in Portuguese and stand outs definitely include the opening track ... read more
While i prefer Blond over this record and in some ways it overshadows Channel ORANGE in my opinion, however it still manages to be a great debutalbum for Frank. Channel ORANGE manages to combine a chill atmosphere along with franks neo-soul to make what i feel is a great album for the sommer times and overall just a great sommervibe. Tracks like Thinkin bout you, super rich kids and lost shows how great frank is at making songs and tracks like pyramids and bad religion show a side of frank ... read more
another great Tyler album following his consistent streak with projects like flower boy and IGOR, CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST is the third in his streak and manages to keep a balance between his hard hitting bangers and the more prettier sounds we have gotten introduced to. songs like CORSO, LUMBERJACK, LEMONHEAD AND JUGGERNAUT are som great bangers that slap harder then my dads belt. on the other hand you have the more prettier songs like WUSYANAME and SWEET/I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE witch are ... read more
This is the first album i would really consider to be good while i started really getting into music. before then i had listened to lets say some subpar material "cough" "cough" No.6 Collaborations project and father of all "cough" "cough" man those where some dark times and haven't really aged that well. but that aside After Hours is a great project by the weeknd and this time around he mixes it op with the sounds of the 80s, and this record would also ... read more
