anybody who preordered and got this genuinely got scammed. can't wait for the class action
RIP to the skits in Kanye West albums. Here's to the album with the absolute funniest of them all.
This album is simultaneously the most overrated and overhated album at the same time. The critics seem focused more on reviewing Kendrick's victory over Drake than the actual album, and people on the internet are trying to make liking Kendrick corny. Probably because of the mustard meme.
Personally, I think this album is good. It's nothing to get hung up on. Listen to it, think "huh that's neat" and then move on.
I started listening to this guy when he was still really niche. Now he's opening for Clipse. I feel like a proud mother even though I did literally nothing.
I'm too lonely to experience toxic gay love so i listen to this album and simulate it instead
A BOY IS A GUN is a wayy better flip of that sample bound 2 can kiss my ass
in what universe is this a hiphop album? bring back correct genre identification!!
IGOR more like IGUESS because the production is just a random mishmash of stuff 🤣🤣
"I don't make music I make hits." is the opening line to the song NSFW on this album, and it isn't the flex bbno$ thinks. In fact, I think it perfectly sums up this entire album. There's no artistry here, no music. It's just product.
I'd like to say that it's at least a fun listen, as others have said, but it really isn't even that fun. Most of the production is so braindead and bbno$'s flow so generic that it's legitimately difficult to ... read more
This album is genuinely such a snoozefest. With the exception of Like That, every beat here is super sleepy and lethargic, and it all just blends together at some point. The individual songs are mostly decent, but it's super boring as an hour long experience. It definitely doesn't help that Future sounds like he's about to fall asleep at any moment.
I'm not even gonna bother rating every song because of how samey everything is.
man yells in your ear while beats made of vomit and piss are squeezed into your ears
This song sells itself as a grand, gigantic stadium anthem, and while it may seem like that on first listen, especially when paired with the evocative AI-generated visuals of the music video, it really isn't all that when you actually look into what makes the music.
Let's just analyse the beat. First you have your chanting, which forms the main melody. Good. Below that, you have your bass and 808s, which are way to loud but ok. I'm guessing that's to try and make this song ... read more
And so, finally, J-Cole retires. Except we all know he's not actually retiring, right?
The critic reception to this album makes me kinda sad. It's pretty obvious what's going on; after the war with Drake and Kendrick Lamar, it's less about actually reviewing the music and more about picking a side. And the position is a resounding "Team Kendrick!" I'm not saying that's wrong, Kendrick absolutely sweeped it, and what J-Cole did can only be describes as ... read more
this song is the complete flanderization of everything bbno$ is; the bland upbeat production, the chorus which is straight up just chanting his name, and of course bbno$'s iconic trash lyrics. It seems that after 'two' came out, bbno$ locked in on the exact formula that song followed, resulting in increasingly more and more generic music. This is just about as generic as it can get.
And it's FUCKING HORRIBLE.
wasting such a great album name and cover on such a dogshit record. how the FUCK is the song with tom macdonald on it the best track here. you know you fucked up if that's the case.
Whenever I consume any time of media, I always give it a rating out of 10. Idk why, it's just something that I do with every game, movie, book, show, and album, I experience. I just feel the need to classify and quantify its quality. I do this with each album and song I listen to as well. Every song gets a rating out of 10, and so does the whole album at the end.
I also want to make sure that my standards for each rating are as consistent as possible. So *any* song that's a 7/10 is ... read more
I'm kinda confused as to why *this* was everybody's big highlight from the Wyoming sessions. You're telling me this is a better record than ye? KIDS SEE GHOSTS? The vast majority of the praise for this album seems to just be people saying how tight and compact the record is, which I guess is true, but it definitely doesn't guarantee quality.
This album just felt conceptually super flat. Pusha T's lyrics are obviously great, and the production is good. Seems like a ... read more
i'm a listener from israel and this is my favorite hip hop album
Kanye is the most consistently bad part of this album. His voice is way too harsh and loud to sound good on the beats in this album. Meaning that even when his verse is good - which is already very rare - like on the song BURN, it still sounds bad. Meaning that pretty much every song on here is brought down a peg solely because Kanye is on it.
This album also sports some absolutely baffling production decisions. Like the ... read more
