i don’t know if it’s a part of me, my autism, or my adhd that makes my brain conjure visuals to albums in my head very easily; this album you might not even need it. it’s so deliberate with its sampling and placements of contrasting elements it completely baffled me. a more direct visual metaphor is this game on roblox called “gears”, which is close to yumi niki but has more gameplay elements and more tapped into specific aesthetic niches. this album is ... read more
