I'm so glad I found some of the more popular songs on my Spotify shuffle, this album is very relaxing.
I can't really explain the appeal of this album, it's an acquired taste that comes from listening to some of their more digestible work. This thing is absolute insanity, just as good as the money store IMO.
This is my first Bjork album, and the instrumentation is hypnotic and nearly flawless. At first, I didn't care for the vocals, but then I realized how fitting they are with the backing instrumentals.
I overlooked this album so much, wish I saw how tight and heavy this thing is at first
I don't get this one compared to some of the rest of their discography. The first time I listened to this I loved it and it was absolutely mystifying, however with repeated listens I was never able to gain that feeling again. I hope that I can change this rating to something above 90 in the near future, but right now it just isn't clicking for me.
Some of these tracks are so dark and mystifying, but some of them just feel like endless noise to me.
Favorite Tracks: Volcano, Helpless Child, Live Through Me, Animus
The vocals are so direct and poignant, they fit perfectly with the simple, yet smooth instrumental.
Simulation Swarm may be the best song of the year
