In 1996, ATCQ would release Beats, Rhymes and Life.
While it has a very noticeable drop off in quality compared to their first 3 albums, it’s decent.
In 1991, ATCQ would release The Low End Theory, one of the most critically acclaimed album of all time.
This album is great, no bad songs are on it, but I say their 2016 album is significantly better.
Favorite: Check the Rhime
In 1993, Mobb Deep would release their debut album Juvenile Hell.
This album is okay, decent at a stretch, though it’s quite rough, they’d improve massively with The Infamous.
In 09, Nirvana would release a live album of their Reading 92 gig.
I prefer this over MTV Unplugged.
Favorites: Breed, Come as You Are, Lithium
In 1997, Wu-Tang would release Wu Tang Forever.
This album is very underrated, it has some songs which are weaker but in general, the songs here are bangers.
Not as good as their debut album ofc.
Favorites: Reunited, For Heavens Sake, Visionz
In 2024, Denzel would release this mixtape.
Personally I prefer this over Melt my Eyez, it’s a pretty consistent album with no bad tracks on it.
1994, this would be Nirvana’s last project, their live album at MTV Unplugged.
All I have to say is that it’s a good performance.
That something in the way performance is special.
Favorites: TMWSTW, Dumb, Something in the way
In 2022, Denzel Curry would release Melt My Eyez See Your Future which would be received well.
For me, this album is overrated at points, the run from track 4 to 8 drags it down, but it has some good songs on it, not Denzel’s best work though.
In 2006, Kanye would release a live album performing TCD/LR songs.
This is a good performance, some performances are worse than others but I like it.
In 2009, J Cole would release his mixtape ‘The Warm Up’.
Hottake but I prefer this over Friday Night Lights, Friday Night Lights has better highs but this one is more consistent.
In 00, Oasis would release a live album of their famous Wembley 00 gig.
First off, this is not close to their best 2000 gig, they had way better gigs early in the tour like Yokohama.
Liam at points also seems to not be taking this seriously, Wonderwall for example.
Favorite: Who Feels Love
(one thing to mention is I’m not rating the CD Wonderwall but the Video version since they’re different)
In 2021, Oasis would basically release an official live album of their biggest gig Knebworth 96.
As much as people love this gig, I find it overrated, Liam sounds noticeably like a Tibetan Frog, keeps adding ‘A’ at the end of each word and Oasis have better performances.
Favorite: My Big Mouth
In 2009, Tyler would release his debut album Bastard.
It’s okay, nothing fascinating, have to mention one song has the same sample as One Beer
In 2011, Frank Ocean would release his first project Nostalgia, Ultra.
This is a great mixtape, one of my favs.
It’s pretty consistent, got some bangers, and I actually prefer this over Channel Orange.
Favorites: Strawberry Swing, Novacane, American Wedding
