I hate to be that guy but I kinda dislike the new Kendrick. I mean it's good but like come on... compared to tpab? section.80? even something as recent as mr morale?? I know its supposed to be Kendrick doing a 'drake album' the good way, but it just feels like radio slop. Still pretty good but I honestly believe Kendrick will never make (even close to) another 10/10. Also "gnx" has topped tammy's song for the worst Kendrick song oat, that's not a good sign.
I thought this album was really really good on release but over the past months I have come to despise it. Every single song other than the minimal exceptions have become more overplayed to me than albums I've been listening to for years. If I hear sticky, rah tah tah or thought I was dead one more time I might just gauge my ears out. Only songs I can still stand are Hey Jane and Take Your Mask Off
Absolute peak. the fucking atmosphere man, it's literally a perfect capsule of how England feels in the winter. Wish I listened to this only a month ago, the weather and 'seasonal depression' would have really complimented this album. Reminds me of how much I can't wait to get the fuck out of this country as soon as possible. My only gripe is the drums sound a bit too similar on most songs.
what is that cover 😭
2 of the best songs on pinata + 2 rather average beats
Nia Archives Discog #3: Sunrise Bang Ur Head Against Tha Wall (EP)
Now this is really good. Every song here is great. Most consistent and enjoyable of Nia's projects so far, I love the not before seen more emotional singing on "So Tell Me..." and the juxtaposition of "No Need 2 Be Sorry, Call Me?" and "Conveniency" is so good. Starting the project off with the single "Baianá" is a bit weird as it has a completely different energy to the rest ... read more
Nia Archives Discog #2: Forbidden Feelingz (EP)
Pretty good, on the same level as her first ep though. Although this one was more consistent just with not as high highs.
Best Track: Forbidden Feelingz (8.5)
Worst: N/A
Chorus is fucking amazing but those verses are dreadful... still giving it an 85 because of the impact and memories but wtf I don't remember it being this bad
It's really good but the 2 streaming tracks (Me Now - 10, Good Night - 9.5) take it from an 88 to a 98
Nia Archives Discog #1: Headz Gone West (EP)
Honestly pretty good EP, I kinda wish all the songs transitioned as well as the first two which felt like one long song, but there's pretty much no misses other than "Sober Feels" which isn't even bad, it just bugs be that sometimes it feels like the loop / sample is cut too early.
Best: Crossroads (10)
Worst Sober Feels (7.5)
Holy peak I was missing out by waiting this long to listen
8/3/25 update: 91 > 93
13/3/25 update: 93 > 95
17/3/25 update: 95 > 100
Holy fuck this is actually so heavenly I can't stop listening to it over and over again
I used to really hate this song when it blew up on tiktok last year but it's already pretty nostalgic for me, the only bad part is the bridge and final chorus imo. Still pretty solid with a unique vibe
So boring and uninspired man I almost fell asleep. trademark usa & family ties are the only good songs
I hate to say this but the only really good tracks are the first 3 and the bonus, the rest are pretty dull and uninspired
