Somehow, throughout the hour and 30 minute runtime, this project manages to stay incredibly consistent and captivating. Dare I say, almost on the same level of Below the Heavens.
Incredible jazz rap production, and easily some of Blu's best verses ever.
An enjoyable, if not all over the place album. I think a lot of the sexual lyrics are way too on the nose and just come across as brash. But apart from that, it's instrumentally very nice and Mac has some solid verses.
This is easily one of their most aggressive projects ever. Very loud and engaging.
This album is unfortunately home to many a forgettable tune. Paul is well-known and respected for a number of reasons, one of the big ones being his ability to write some of the greatest melodies/ hooks of all time. But unfortunately, that aspect is just missing here. Nothing here is bad, just very run-of-the-mill rock/ singer songwriter stuff.
CANE SEASON!
Fun little project. Freddie doesn't do anything crazy or unique here, but his flow is still fresh as ever.
