This album warrants much more credit than it received. I believe abstract’s metamorphosis into an entirely different genre, originating from hiphop, is one people we’re not anticipating nor welcoming. I, however see it as a great alternative album with stellar production, especially the vocal mixing which was very bright and colorful. The downside to this album is simple, a few of the songs were missteps but most of the songs were air-tight and abundant with energy and flavor. 8/10.
I personally adore this album, the orchestral production choice and heartbreaking lyrical content provides a blissful listening experience. The production is very cohesive and blends stories and narratives together beautifully to paint a very beautiful and compelling narrative. 9/10
I didn’t mean to haunt you is a masterpiece, where Quadeca plays a posthumous role after a character he portrays takes his own life and wakes up in the afterlife. Yachty completely flips the script with some psychedelic rock jams that create an entirely different world and experience than anything yachty has perused in the past, and it is surprisingly executed well. The production and vibe is consistent and tasteful, rarely losing the plot and sticking to the theme.
