its so cute but i dont want anyone to come at me for saying this: it sounds very similar to the music shes been making in the past and it doesnt really stand out to me. obviously vocals are amazing and it is really cute but i just think there is something missing...
though did anyone hear the change in her voice?? she sounds like madison beer
if you dont like it thats fine but dont disregard others who enjoy
flowers would be good if that random verse from the guy wasn't there, idk totally ruined the mood.
overall fun, pretty good songs
personally prefer evermore. But this is arguably a better album.
songwriting is best its been in years
so fav: evermore
best between the two: folklore
so cute!! love this one. the production and songwriting are great. i need to see how it compares to folklore now
best: gold rush, tolerate it, no body, no crime
really cool dark sound.
wish maybe there were more different things cause a lot of things sound the same...
best and favs: honeymoon, salvatore, 24, swan song
this album came out in a time where I needed it most. beautiful and it healed me.
now for my thoughts:
Some people will say it is cringy, and that her lyrics aren't very good. But I think it's honestly perfect. She made what she set out to do: to give hope to the listener. The instrumentation is amazing, and these songs really are healing. I love it. It is like a musical, and I love the sound of it.
Everything here feels so personal and human, like everyone can get something out of ... read more
really cute and fun. i love her slower songs a lot.
some of the quicker songs get redundant towards the end so try new sounds but its pretty cohesive.
but her slower songs are great.
and obviously hot to go and pink pony club are iconic pop songs
favs: coffee, casual, hot to go, picture you, pink pony club
best: coffee, super graphic ultra modern girl, hot to go, pink pony club
who put ed sheeran on this album...
also why does she make so many weird noises here
RA-DI-DI-DI-DI-DI-DI
this was her sign to work with jack antonoff for a whole album because what is this
lazy production from max martin and shellback
jack antonoff songs are like a breath of fresh air
writing is mid but there are glimmers of hope on jack's songs
best: delicate, look what you made me do, getaway car, call it what it you want, new year's day
i absolutely love this album. the production is so good and different.
really refreshing take to pop, love it.
something about the album cleanses your mind.
her voice is so soothing and personally i like the style of whisper-singing on this record.
though i would have picked norman fucking rockwell to win aoty, this would be my second choice.
best: bad guy, xanny, c me in crown, bury a friend, goodbye
fav: like all of them
