actually super cute and vibey. I expected a faster paced song, but this isn't terrible at all.
80 > 85 yeah this is insanely catchy. they've got another hit on their hands!
Very cute and poppy! I didn't expect such a bright sonic landscape for the first single but I'm not disappointed at all!
Super infectious, definitely more interesting than the a-side. Ravyn truly thrives in the indie-pop genre.
This is pretty ok, nothing special, but definitely NOT bad. Another case of AOTY users being disingenuous because they don't particularly like an artist.
damn I wish this were longer! super infectious, never overcompensating for dips in quality. I don't know if Naomi plans on sticking with music for long, but she has a bold vision and a clear lane to make it happen.
Expansive. Maximalist. Absurd. Unbridled creativity. Some may call this pretentious, say she's trying too hard, but this is exactly what was needed right now, not just for me, but for music currently. This music not only contains hope, but also ideas and concepts that are so bizarre, you wouldn't even consider putting half of the things you hear here together. This is a true love letter to music.
This... this is a modern-day pop classic. Slayyyter has once again proven that her vision is leagues above her peers.
Very cute! I find myself aligning with the majority of the topics discussed here, and I think I could see this growing on me. I'm kind of already in love with it.
This following my FL of the apple tree under the sea???? yeah. This was my introduction to Anna Von Hausswolff. I had never gotten the chance to truly indulge in any of her work, but this one piqued my interest. With a runtime of 72 minutes, it doesn't ever drag on, becoming stale. Each track feels like it's built for individual experiences, but playing them back to back, it's a push and pull, like the tides of an ocean. Also, my introduction to their vocals being 'Facing ... read more
WOW! What a debut! I'm so annoyed it took me this long to get to this one, but here we are. Everything on this record challenges the typical tropes of modern pop music, and it works in its favor. Both the production and vocal performance transport you directly into her world, and she builds it with each step you take. Unpredictable and wild as it is, there is truly something here for everyone.
Very cute, mostly great. It doesn't really showcase immense creativity or deviate from the typical tropes you'd come across in most modern indie folk/rock releases, but it never feels derivative.
This project is very interesting. I feel like, at its strongest, it's quirky and unique production matched with great lyrics. At its worst, it becomes too safe and less inspired than the previous tracks. Great start, underwhelming towards the end, but the final two tracks kind of flip it around! I enjoyed this! As someone who is just learning about who Grace Ives is, I plan on checking out her earlier work.
I wish I had liked this more, but it is derivative at its worst and boring at its best. I do like 4 tracks here, but the rest just seem like your run-of-the-mill cut demos. Also, some questionable lyrical content. Hit a lick in a split??? Everything lit is fya??? What are we doing, guys?
A true and honest Mitski record. The more she releases, the more interested I become in the direction she's headed. I see her future, and it is very bright.
SUCH A HIT! My goodness, FLO has the greatest synergy we've seen in a girl group in a while. My only wish is that they repeated the chorus twice at the end, followed by the outro, but we can't have it all. Excellent single, the most inspired and confident they have sounded in their career.
This might be an overshot of a score simply because of recency, but this is a genuine collection of the greatest nine songs that represent the current status of pure creativity in the digital age. With not a single bland moment, this stands out as one of the most important releases of the 2020s decade, mark my words.
