SUCH A HIT! My goodness, FLO has the greatest synergy we've seen in a girl group in a while. My only wish is that they repeated the chorus twice at the end, followed by the outro, but we can't have it all. Excellent single, the most inspired and confident they have sounded in their career.
This might be an overshot of a score simply because of recency, but this is a genuine collection of the greatest nine songs that represent the current status of pure creativity in the digital age. With not a single bland moment, this stands out as one of the most important releases of the 2020s decade, mark my words.
I've been putting this off for quite some time. I originally thought I would enjoy this project, but on first listen, it didn't really land. Gave it a couple more listens before deciding to revisit later. Unfortunately, this record is not connecting with me. Maybe I need to walk through a city while listening. I do think the music here can be very hit-or-miss, and when it hits, it HITS. However, a lot of these songs feel like they're so close to getting it, but they never bridge ... read more
oh so fun! I think most people will be scared to say that this was mostly enjoyable. I don't think most of the tracks are going to be in my rotation, but I still think this was a great time!
Why is this at a 66?? Anyways, this is quite smooth. It's not much of a standout(mostly due to the song lengths). I do appreciate the love put into it, and I believe in its ability to grow.
Verrry chic, verrry 'True Romance' !! Almost filling in the role of being a sister album, It is grand, heartbreaking, devastatingly short, but also didn't seem to overstay its welcome. Personally, I'm in love with this. I'm almost positive Charli would have pulled this off without this being done for a soundtrack.
overhated, people just don't like her and her music, and that's fine. This album is just objectively mid in full, and drags the few highlights, like 'FAERIE SOIRÉE' & 'EVIL', down. I do have a soft spot for Melanie's !!!!MUSIC!!!!, so it kind of pains me to view this in such a negative-leaning light. very meh.
cute, simple, nothing crazy. I'm not blown away by what he's currently doing, but he holds a lot of potential and talent. I'd love to hear where he goes from here.
(Haven't listened to this full project since I was a child)
A true masterpiece. Pure quality straight through. I can confidently say this is one of my favorite records I've ever heard.

And so the David Bowie discography dive begins...
I'm a bit surprised people hate this so much. I mean, honestly, it's not great, but I think I just enjoy the spread out inflections of his inner creativity over the record. There are a lot of moments that showcase potential, but most of the songs are very mundane or underwhelming in everything except for the songwriting (for the most part). It also doesn't help that a lot of these songs reflect similarities to medieval hymns. ... read more
just had to give this one last listen before putting nicki in time-out for the forseeable future....
Lux is a refined record beyond simplification and description. A multicultural maximalist project that could only be created by an artist filled with both ambition and disregard for those who believe trying is embarrassing. Also, just have to address how she's never sounded on a record.
a surprising but delightful return to a full form that Katy has been lacking for quite some time.
THIS DIRECTION!! JT is exactly who she thinks she is. This trajectory that she's been following over the past two years has improved her artistry and actually makes you interested in her process.
