It's the same flow almost every fucking song. Production is pretty dope though but MY GOD this is his weakest project by FAR.
This is his most experimental project released yet, and unfortunately his last. With how this album sounds lyrically and instrumentally compared to Suburban Daredevil, you could only imagine what his catalog and growth as an artist could've been if he only stayed around.
This project has grown on me after awhile. Although it is one of the more interesting indie projects I've listened to, it still features some of the many issues I have with the underground indie scene. Many songs lack substance, many of them are way too short for their own good, and many of the lyrics talk about the same topic.
POMPEII: This might be the album that properly gets me into MIKE's music. The production is interesting, his voice fits each track, and no time was wasted whatsoever. I only wish some tracks were just a bit longer or if some tracks had a bit more lyrics in them.
UTILITY: Earl's delivery sounds pretty meh and half-assed in some areas, and unfortunately, compared to MIKE's section, the production is less interesting, but it's grown on me since my first listen and I've ... read more
I can see the potential, but it all comes off as a project with no true rhythm or point. It's just nothing but a mess, and not a good one at that. Doesn't help that the person behind this is an awful person.
I mean, it was alright. First listen when it dropped, I thought it was okay. After a relisten, it's still just okay. Seems more like a throwaway to fill in the gap of a new PEGGY release than an actual worthy EP.
Not entirely something I'd go back to, but it's a very emotional listen and something I heavily relate to as someone who goes through their own mental struggles
This debut album is a MASSIVE step-up from her first two previously released, bulking with a new sound while Noelle's signature style still seeps through the cracks. Unfortunately the signature style also comes with distorted / incomprehensible vocals, which is something I hoped would've been improved upon.
As much as I love short songs, all (or, at the very least, most of) these songs go nowhere and feel less like songs and more like demos or WIPS, classified as "finalized" when they don't sound like it.
I'm not gonna even rate this. Whoever made this piece of shit deserves to die alone. They don't even deserve a funeral, because nobody would miss an apathetic cunt like the person behind this.
I didn't like this one when I first listened to it, but a couple relistens later and this is probably one of my many favorites from this band. (As if all their albums aren't already my favorites)
I love this record, but it's not one that I see myself consistently going back to compared to their other albums. Still very revolutionary and astounding, but I personally feel like some people make it sound like it's something more than it is.. if that makes sense.
Even though this is one of her more weaker records compared to the ones she released after this debut, there's still so many intriguing songs sprinkled through this project, and when they hit, they HIT.
I tried my best to enjoy this. I love the production on this, but it's mainly the vocals and writing that personally just ruin this for me.
