HOW THE HECK NOBODY RATED ONE OF BUCKETHEADS BEST ALBUMS?????????? The Giant Robot NTT Version (1996) is so incredible and it's a different album as the artist "Giant Robot". Not to be confused with Bucketheads Giant Robot 1994, it's a hole different album.
Really a pity that so few know this album. The atmosphere is incredibly dense, beautiful guitar and melancholic. By Buckethead standards much quieter, but very emotional. Whitewash one of the best album openers of all time.
I actually really like this song, do i have bad taste now?
It's alright. But nothing too remarkable for me. Most beats are kinda mid, flow is nice, but i don't think i will come back to it very often.
transcendental
I actually found the album by accident and didn't know Alice Coltrane, nor am i really versed in the jazz genre. But this album definitely blew me away. Atmosphere and sound quality are insanely high, even the stereo use sounds ahead of the time. Such a trippy vibe. First and last track clearly the highlights for me.
I have no idea, how i never heard this album before. It's so good, holy shit. Favorite Song "Giorgio by Moroder". 9 Minutes and goosebumps in the second half of the song. Absolutel love the drum part. The whole album is just peak electronic music.
Feels like the soundtrack to a David Lynch movie that was never made. Extremely oppressive and depressing atmosphere that becomes an increasingly disturbing spiral and ends with a bang. Very long running time, but it's definitely worth the duration.
You drift off completely while listening.
Full of bangers. Incredible flow, bars and even very good hooks. My favorite song is Sistanem.
God i love the atmosphere. This dark ambient sound in combination with her voice is really unique. My only issue with the album and why it doesn't have a higher score is the length. Some songs are not that great and you could cut 10 minutes easily imo. But the transition in Raven to Bruises is incredible.
I wasn't expecting anything Boat Side of the Moon Type song, but this one sounds way to goofy to me. Beat is kinda ass. Hope this won't be the standard for his next projects, absolutely loved Let's start here.
