Good for people who like Olivia Rodrigo for her charming lyricism and use of metaphors in her love songs. Cute!
i love this pop-rock style! I've missed girl bands, and I like that they're able to make songs about body image etc. Great production - I've been looking for more rock-forward music and this is definitely a step in the right direction. I've missed real instruments <3
chill, givees you a nice and slow resting heartbeat. Titular track is easily the best track, but the rest of the album is still worth listening to!
angry british people! finally! definitely a fun and punchy album. it's feminist, it's aggressive, it makes me want to break the speed limit while driving these LA freeways
smoooooth vocals, v charlotte day wilson with that warm alto. good songs too!
I loved all the experimental jazz, and when she uses power in her voice I love it! just sometimes the lyrics and vocals were a bit lacking.
When an album is self-titled and isn't the first album from the artist, I feel like it must mean something significant like this is the most reflective of their style, or it's different from their style but a for-the-artist type thing, maybe the artist's most emotional project? I'm not sure if this is any of those things. Maybe it is to Kehlani, but I don't think I totally get that sense as a listener. It's good, but not in a special way.
awwww shit. this is great. gorgeous vocals and that fabulous early 2000s rock and whimsy. ""Elephant"" feels like it was personally made for me.
I'm also very surprised that so many people noted not liking the last half of this album. I'm not sure if I'd call this album completely cohesive, but it all still feels like their sound. Both halves are good, I think people just aren't used to albums that offer variety from song to song (while a lot of current ... read more
this is very MGK to me. maybe not exactly, but falls into the same category of artist to me. Reverb-forward, speak-singing, droning tone. I think a lot of white "cool guy" artists are making music like this...I don't love it. Bring back Nickelback-type white boys!
Would make for a great opening band - I love their tone and general musical vibe (punchy pop/rock? early 2000s?). I haven't listed to their other stuff, but I'll check it out as other people have said it's better, and I think this sound is already good but can definitely be stronger.
Some songs could feel a little repetitive at times, others felt just straight up sick af
Just like her song, Jill Scott Don't Play!! The Tierra Whack collab was my favorite, but there's an abundance of catchy melodies, strong vocals, and overall power that is demonstrated in each track
quiet and sweet folky indie album from an artist I'll be excited to hear more from!
