6 years after their last album, Paramore makes their return, and I’m kinda mixed on this. Not bad by any means, it’s solid, but I was expecting better
After leaving a bad label deal that wouldn’t let her release a proper album, RAYE went independent and was able to finally make the debut album she wanted to do, and for 7 years in the industry, it was long overdue. I never thought I would talk about a Lil Yachty album in 2023, but here we are. This is got to the weirdest thing that he has ever put his name on, and something even more shocking to myself, this is an album with some experimentation with an Alternative sound, and it does work for me. His warbled autotuned delivery does work with this sound, there’s a lot of novelty in this, but there’s also some flaws on some tracks here. An improvement from Heaven & Hell, but I don’t think this album takes Ava to greatness just yet, but it’s still a fun pop album, calling back to early Lady Gaga with a pure pop sound with some tracks containing dance elements. It’s a good album with some great songs here, no signs of a sophomore slump for me
