While She Sleeps - TO THE FLOWERS

New rating: 50 ~~> 85. I changed my mind completely on this single. It is so much better than any of the other ones, it's insane. The guitar work is amazing, and the whole track is full of emotion. It also works better as a part of an album rather than a single. Sadly the production is still pretty bad, and the track should have been a tiny bit shorter. But as a part of an album, the lenght doesn't really bother me anymore.

Just pure fucking royalty.

Elwood Stray - Gone With the Flow

New rating: 81 ~~> 73. I still like this album. I actually like this album very much. But it misses something, that makes me want to revisit it more often. I find it hard to play the album, which is a shame because it’s very good.

Original review:
This album and this band are seriously slept on. They bring back old-school hardcore Metalcore style, which I haven't heard been done this well in so long. That this band only has 125k monthly listeners on Spotify is insane to me.

Was not expecting to like this at all. After I heard that Noah didn’t sing, I kinda got a little disappointed. And didn’t expect really anything.

But I was kind of wrong. The single thing I like the most with this single, is the dark atmosphere and vibe. It has kind of a claustrophobic feel to it. Which I wholeheartedly love. It feels like I’m in the same room as Poppy.

This song was a surprise. Even though Noah isn’t on the track. It is still Bad Omens. I simply love ... read more

Currents - I Let The Devil In

This is easily one of the most beautiful metalcore records, ever made. Every song is its own masterpiece, without any exceptions. This is exactly what an ep should be. Everything from the harsh screams and sharp riffs to the heartbreaking cleans is perfect.

If I had to choose my favourite, it has to be Feel the Same. It's full of emotion, and it hits me in the stem of my heart. And after that, it is closely followed by Forever Marked. Just the sheer heaviness of the track, and the anger in ... read more

On Sleep Token - Even in Arcadia
"@SamuelStudios Yeah, no problem! I’m always open to others' opinions. "One of the only" could be an overstatement on my part, but I guess my point is that many metal bands do the same thing as others. Therefore, I think it's unfair that Sleep Token has received this much hate when they actively keep the "metal" genre alive. That's another point. People review their albums as "metal" albums and get disappointed when they realise that it's not. While they have metal elements, they need to be reviewed from an objective standpoint as a "music" album. I also agree that the fanbase can often be horrible, but the haters have become just as bad. Again, I think it's unfair that "the band" receives hate for this."

"@HomeSession3 Yeah, that makes sense I guess, but I just think that the way it’s done is so horrible and tasteless. Grown people spreading so much hate without proper reasoning. And sadly, I’m too young to have experienced the MySpace era…"

"Got to say, as a huge BMTH fan. You’re 100% right. Even tho architects change their style a bit, there is some metal core hiding there."
