The album is really good, but she should've credited Freddie Gibbs for basically copying both the cover and the title of the album from him...
Most of the songs aren't that bad, but they sound like something I've heard again and again on his first two projects and the few highlights aren't even that good. It's simply okay.
This album basically has everything that you can ask for: some really big highlights, no misses, a concept and a series of music videos and performances that all tie to each other. I'm really excited to see what this trilogy still has in store
Most of these songs are so short that listening to the album kind of feels lile scrolling on TikTok. The song starts, it has a chorus, sometimes a verse and then in just ends, without doing anything. And it's a shame because on most of them I can hear a lot of potential.
This is of course a step in the right direction from Vultures, especially on the production side. But there is still some AI left on some songs and some of them are way too short so they just come and go really quickly.
Still, these things are not THAT bad. The thing that really ruins the album from me are Kanye vocals, which are so low energy and, sometimes, low quality that it wouldn't surprise me if he used his iPhone to record them laying on his bed two days before the release date.
