SIU is yet another perfect album by Maretu. There's so much genres to absorb here this time. I mean, the literal opener of the song is Magical Doctor, a hardtek song about an overdose. And yet it ends off with SIU, a almost electro-pop song with the use of woodwind instruments and metal drums to give it an uneasy feel, which fits the songs theme of child abuse and neglect. There's so much great stuff in this album and just like Coin Locker Baby, I highly recommend it.
Yeah I'm sorry but like, what. This album is absolute phenomenal. The genre mixing between rock, and glitch pop is EXTREMELY well done and I wish more artists could do it like Maretu can. Lyrics never fail to tell a compelling story, like Coin Locker Baby being based off a real life tragic incident, or Confusion being about something small but hurtfully relatable, a case of self loathing and emotional distress. Coin Locker Baby is without a doubt, one of my favorite albums of all time.
I love the instrumental theme in this album much more than anything I've heard from Tyler, I shouldn't have slept on this album as much as I did.
Bro this album literally dropped at 1AM but I couldn't care less. It was so worth listening to anyways. All the songs actually have something worth listening to. And the transitions between most of them are SO seamless it's very satisfying. I usually don't care for EDM as much as I used to, but Tanger and the people featured on this album put out a huge variety of genres along with the typical style Tanger sticks to. They cooked and burned the house down. Favorite track is ... read more
I heard "Touch-Tone Telephone" in my friend's car and holy shit they have great taste in music. I listened to the rest of the album and was absolutely blown away. Please listen.
This album sticks to a theme more than The Maybe Land, making it more enjoyable and consistent. Featuring inspired creators like AlpsBulky, That Dumbass Artist, and my pookie Z. They help Stasy make this album the way it is in the best way possible. Also Way More Matts is way catchier than Way Less Sad genuinely. Well done guys.
"Being flawless every day well, that's my only skill." - Poppy
I don't know how to put how much I love this album into words, I guess it just feel very nostalgic to my older music taste.
"I'm so hard" - Poppy
One of the better albums that I've listened to for a while. I really love "The Attic" and "Prove It". This has one of the best album closers I've ever heard. "Flicker" is probably the weakest for me but even then it's not even a bad song. I love the creative production choices used in this album and it's a huge step up from "Flux".
"Who tf eating pop rocks on the beat" - youtube comment
It's really hard to find a synth that doesn't sound like it's eating away your eardrums like sugar and teeth but the synths in this album are really great. I really enjoy the grainy effect in the background of some of the songs. I really love the vocal effects on BOYFRIEND. Using gun sounds on A BOY IS A GUN* was really fun, creative and it worked out for the beat. WHAT'S GOOD has the most addicting drum loop ... read more
Omg I love this I love this I love this. However I hate Animal, Lazy, and Chosen. I hate this I hate this I hate this.
Best songs: Can't Wait, Zero One, and Long Time Friends
Nvm I kinda like Animal now
It's not my taste but it's a respectable work of art. Some of parts of it for some reason reminded me of Noah Kahan so if you like him you may like this too.
I tried to search the title of the album, accidently typed "yucky" into the search bar.
Took me literally forever to find this in the search but anyways. First of all these have some REALLY great production that seems to be AJR inspired, noticeably sampling stuff from Neotheater. The transition between Intro and My Party is very smooth. Without Me and Best Foot Forward are easily my favorite songs from the album. Welcome To The Game took a little bit to get used to but other than that I have no complaints about this album, this is a great album and I really recommend giving it a ... read more
Overcompensate and Vignette are literally some of the best Twenty One Pilots songs ever, this was definitely worth staying up for.
This is a really sweet song and is very underrated, Netflix Trip if it was good.
