It's almost soul crushingly beautiful. So many songs give me the feeling of dread. Almost as though I'm moving towards my death and it can genuinely fill you with dread that makes it feel that much more real. One of the key features that contribute to this feeling is just how slow and drawn out some of these tracks get. Some of these songs are truly so wonderful and instantly locked inside my mind.
genuinely grating to listen to. even if some of the political commentary is vaguely agreeable, it feels like an impotent child wrote it. its edgy without being thought provoking enough to distract you from the awful sounds you're listening to. at certain points i thought i was listening to some interesting beat or something until i came back down to earth, realizing it went nowhere and the entire 2 minute song is just gonna sound bad. i've never really listened to lil darkie and when ... read more
for me, doolittle offers so much sonically that i absolutely love. it's rare for a project to scratch quite literally every itch for me. its got the right speed, the perfect amount of noise, vocals that are belted at just the right level for me to want to scream along to, and riffs and basslines that get me moving without even thinking.
