Orbit Culture - Redfog

Redfog is an incredibly well executed instance of melodic death metal. The record seamlessly combines sounds found in classic metal with more modern and staunch instrumentation. Despite the familiarity of the sound, it manages to remain markedly unique and maintains the listeners attention for the entire 30-minute duration. The record doesn’t overstay it’s welcome either. Every track feels meticulously curated, I consistently found that each track ended with a precise sense of ... read more

Brilliant.

Knife Man is an ambitious album that subverts the expectations of fans who came in expecting a more refined successor to the sound from their earlier studio albums. Most notably that distinct tumultuous acoustic instrumentation found in the 2007 album "People Who Can Eat People Are the Luckiest People in the World." Make no mistake the album still permeates with the unmistakable identity of the band, while innovating in all the right places in order to for them to develop ... read more

The vocal performance is superb, with powerful piercing screams that greatly complement the tight and energetic instrumentals present throughout. It radiates with that distinct -almost cringy- punk charm that manages to feel authentic and raw without ever becoming tiring. This album manages to step away from some of the popular 90s punk conventions and delivers a more professionally produced product than the genre has really ever ... read more

A borderline ethereal experience. The production is wonderful, the vocals are amazing, the music is incredibly well written and the album has an immensely satisfying emotional payoff. There really isn't much more to be said, it is nearly perfect.
