i've listened to mr blue sky on its own like 700 times so hearing all the songs around it was bizarre but it was goated
this is like my third time trying to listen to this album and like its really good but man i cant stay focused during it
better than currents as a cohesive album but that one has better individual songs
since the movie is an ad for the album ig it worked since i just listened to it
it was alright but a lot of it felt very much like basic 2010s pop in some areas. not a bad thing, just not really MY thing. pink diamond and i finally understand were definetly highlights, but overall i VASTLY prefer the aggressive style of brat.

pure noise. i still love tyler and acknowledge that if it wasn't for this we wouldn't have gotten all his amazing stuff afterwards, but holy shit dude this just sounded like garbled noise to my ears. maybe there's a story here, i don't know. the editing is so atrocious i don't know what the fuck he's saying so i can't even dechipher what the lyrics even are.
Feels like he's only going backwards.

Dude the last song sounds like a tropical beach song and it played right when donkey kong got to the beach layer it fit so well
(A lot of this review/ramble sesh builds off what I talked about in a previous review, so here's the link for that)

Oh my God, it's not the music; it's the format.
Here's a story for you,
I wrote that long-ass manifesto of Tears for Fears in December, but one thing I neglected to mention was the fact that in November I actually got a record player. Technically, it was for my brother but like ... read more
Funny in the context of the movie but horrendous as an actual song.
Listening to this on vinyl has actually been so enlightening. It makes me appreciate the score a lot more. The shot in the movie of Nick Nightengale being escorted away during the orgy is like ten seconds but the song is like a full five minute orchestral jazz piece and it is BEAUTIFUL!
