Probably my favourite release this year.
From the very first track, “Janie,” you know you’re in for something special. Not only does this song show that “Golden Age” is alive and breathing, it encapsulates some of its most prominent elements - desperation and restlessness. Not only is the song incredibly well written, but Hayden’s vocals are on point - they barely rise above a plea, and when they do it’s even more effective.

Definitely felt like a breath of fresh air for pop music and was quite unique for when it came out
Don’t know why this isn’t rated better since it contains some of her best songs

"@Eartheaten when it comes to the darkness in Hayden’s storytelling it always has a purpose and leads to something, I just don’t find a lot of that in Nicole’s music, obviously NBL is a pretty good album also MIMA, however I feel like HSB lacks substance and if the instrumentals and production were interesting that could be excused but in my opinion they aren’t. Not only do I like Hayden’s projects I also like Kristin Hayter’s work and I see you also do so that’s great!"
