This project from JPEGMAFIA feels very rushed. PNGGANG is still flowing as well as he ever has, but his lyrics feel more generic than ever. The songs themselves feel underdeveloped, with random ideas thrown in there for the fuck of it. WebPGathering also stepped the annoying factor with this rollout up to an 11, getting into a beef with Earl Sweatshirt of all people, and just acting more cocky than he ever has in the past.
From a musical perspective, the beat is alright, but I dont really like Dabo's voice. If the lyrics were taken out of the equation, I still wouldn't come back to it.
But then we get to the lyrics. Dabo is consigned by Playboi Carti, Kai Cenat and is a twitch partner, and he uses his platform to normalize transphobia. The entire diss track hinges on it. Dabo has a young audience, a young and impressionable audience, think about the message this spreads to them.
