The girlies will understand and then everyone else will come around to it as well. I have expanded thoughts on the record and why it works so well for me. I'll probably make a video about it soon so yeah. In the meantime I think they just get me on a kid that grew up in the 2000s being obsessed with pop culture and the expansion of the internet.

This one took a bit to grow on me because it's a bit of a sonic departure from the previous releases. But much like the other projects it's Rozey's talent as a songwriter that tie everything together. A combination of brief songs and a lot more repetition than before give the S/T a distinct vibe. It feels apocalyptic, the songs sound more blown out than before, while some sound like they're unraveling right in front of you.

Probably the reason why this music resonates so much with me, is simply because it reminds me of the music I listened to in high school (also I am massively depressed). But to be slightly more serious here, this new ep/album whatever, this new collection of songs from Rozey reminds me of early, early, early Teen Suicide. Mostly in the sound pallet of the songs, the tape hissing, the imperfections, the rewinding noise, idk the tape sounds, you know what I'm talking about!

Saw the live show last night in NY and wow what a show. Underscores is the absolute real deal. Fishmonger grew on me a lot ever since it came out and Wallsocket hit pretty immediately for me. It's a complete showcase of Underscore's talent as a producer, musician and most importantly a storyteller.

Thanks for sharing Rozey. It's all I've been listening to for the past couple days. The lo-fi recording quality is totally my bag and I think that Rozey creates beautiful melodies in the noise. Sugar is one of my favorites, it's almost too short! Love, love, love the melody in it.
