Overall very good. In fact, on a good day I might say this is a top 5 album from them. Track averages come out to a 78, but I'll bump up that score a little bit due to the consistency seen throughout this record. There's only 2 tracks I don't care for, and the rest are either good or great. Nowhere near as bad as some people make it out to be.
Highlights: These are the Ways, White Braids & Pillow Chair, Veronica, The Heavy Wing
Lowlights: Not the One, Poster Child
Not a perfect album, but this does have some damn good songs for sure. I particularly liked This Is the Place and Minor Thing. The only songs I found mediocre were Universally Speaking, Throw Away Your Television, and On Mercury.
So emotional and beautiful it's incredible. I'm happy I decided to get into the Foo Fighters with this album.
This album is extremely overhated. It's still Green Day, and a lot of the songs are catchy. It's also an incredibly short album, which makes it feel like something to play to get your adrenaline pumping. I've played this almost once everyday to get myself hyped up.
Overall Thoughts: One of my favorite rock albums of the last 20+ years. Every song here is pretty memorable, and it works incredibly well as a full experience. I think this is easily Muse at their peak.
Extremely raw with decent production. A good first album, but it is still their worst effort. While a few of the songs are forgettable and some of the vocals are grating, most of the other songs make up for it. I used to hate this album, but I have grown to actually like its rawness.
Overall Thoughts: One of their best albums in my opinion. It sounds like old Linkin Park mixed with new Linkin Park, which makes for an amazing listening experience.
Overall Thoughts: Definitely their worst album, but I can appreciate what they were going for. This album will always hold a place in my heart, especially after the death of Chester.
Update: 87 -> 71 It's fallen on me a decent amount, but I still don't hate it. Battle Symphony and Heavy sound like they were made for radio, which makes them lower in my mind. Halfway Right is still amazing and underrated, and One More Light is still a tear-jerker. Overall, I still don't hate this.
Overall Thoughts: An extremely risky move that could have been a disaster for the band. However, in the end (no pun intended), it comes out to one of their best albums with Iridescent and The Catalyst being favorites of mine.
I love this album so much. I think every song on here is brilliant and is a major step in the right direction.
Literally one of the best albums I have ever heard in my life. Good job, FOB.
Absolutely incredible album. I don't hate any song on here, and this whole album really is just TOP's magnum opus.
I honestly really like this song. Yeah, it's not as good as the first single, but I can still enjoy it.
I get the hate for this album, but I honestly really like a lot of the songs on here. Yes, Young and Menace is not good, but I can appreciate what they were going for.
Fav Tracks: Bishops Knife Trick, Wilson (Expensive Mistakes), Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea, Church
Least Favs: Young and Menace, Sunshine Riptide
