Being from Quebec myself, I’ve always been proud of the Montreal music scene. Kaytranada is one of the main reasons why. His groovy production style that is so easily recognizable has always attracted me. 99,9 % was one of my favourite albums of 2016, so when BUBBA dropped in 2019, I was surprised. Even though it was clear that I was listening to Kay, it sounded nothing like his first album. He went for a more house/dance approach instead of the funky hip-hop production that made him ... read more
Pretty decent album by Big Sean, and people still find a way to hate. One of the most overhated MC’s in the game.
After a few listens, I can confidently say that this is my favorite Big Sean record. The highs here are without a doubt the best moments of Big Sean’s career, Hit-Boy absolutely killed every beat that he has touched on the album, and even though there are filler tracks, like Body Language or ZTFO, the overall thing is really enjoyable. Loving the features on here, ... read more
DMA’S has always been a band that I enjoyed quite a lot. I absolutely love their first album and Lay Down is a fantastic song to me that I still listen to to this day. However, this album is clearly the worst piece of work they’ve put together. While not being bad, this comes up to me as a little bit boring. Pretty generic pop rock record, but I do enjoy songs like Never Before quite a lot.
Amine finally reaches some of the potential that we all see in him, but not completely. I’ve always seen him as a very talented artist and I liked both of his albums, but it was clear that he could do better. Limbo is the proof that Amine can. While some songs are nothing special and basic trap bangers, there are a few gems in here. If Amine keeps doing these and actually finds his identity, we should all watch him become a fantastic rapper.

I’ve been a huge fan of Dominic Fike so far, so I don’t dislike this, but it’s one of the biggest disappointments of the year so far.
Perfect way for Logic to end his career. With this record, the biracial master returns to basics with a heartfelt record. Of course, there are a few whack lines here and there, but it’s Logic, what did you expect? It’s a good album, one of his best. Loving the No ID production. Thank you Logic, wishing you all the best <3
Joey, I missed you and this is pretty good, but don’t diss mumble rap again, shit’s mad corny.
How can you not love this album? Plastic Beach is a record that’ll make you happy, no doubt about it. It blends hip-hop and electronic perfectly and the features are amazing. Good music
Tbh, I hated the og version of this album. I wanted to like it badly, but I just didn’t, except for P**f. However, I found myself enjoying these deluxe tracks way more. Pi’erre shows some improvement, with better deliveries, along with amazing production, of course. This album clearly didn’t reinvent anything, but it’s worth a listen.
Best Tracks : Bebe’s Kids, Deja Vu, SossGirl, 4L
Worst Tracks : Growing Pain, Purple Genes
For some reason, I decided to come back to this album last week, and I can definetely say that I don’t regret it. A very good house record. BANGER
OG score : 77
I love Kota, so I was excited to listen to this and I wasn’t disappointed. Nothing is really innovative, it’s simple but effective. Vibes are on point, with nice production and good performances. The features were good as well, especially Kyle’s verse (lord that was unexpected). It’s a very solid summer project.
Best Tracks : Summerhouse, Morocco, Always
Worst Track : Volvo
I really want to like this as much as some of y’all do. It’s not bad tho
It’s nothing too crazy, but overall very fun track with great deliveries from the 3 guys. The chemistry is there too, looking forward to a new Kota project.
*Edit : Grew off me, original score 77
As an old Drake fan, I was very disappointed with his projects ever since Views came out. I still absolutely love albums like Take Care, NWTS or IRTITL, but I lost my interest for Drake’s music over the years. Coming into this album I had pretty much no expectations, except for Pain 1993. I was honestly surprised. I think it’s easy to say that Dark Lane Demo Taste is easily Drake’s best album/mixtape since Views, even though I don’t ... read more
