The one thing that Olivia consistently excels at is the actual instrumentation and composition of her songs. However, there were a couple tracks on here where I felt that the progression of the song was a bit odd and kinda took me out of it. Lyrically, this album has some high highs, but also some low lows. There's some fire songs on here. The Barbie soundtrack did not need to go this hard.
Ye's sophomore effort fails to leave the same impact his debut did. As he shifts away from this trademark chipmunk soul style, it's clear that he is trying to find his new voice in this album, however I don't think he quite gets there.

This is the first Kanye album I've listened to, and honestly it was straight fire. Some of the songs really hit hard as someone who is now technically a college dropout. I thoroughly enjoyed this album and can't wait to continue through his discography.

So poignant even still to this day. I'm glad I listened to this. Even if I wasn't as absolutely blown away with it as many others hyped it up to be, I still liked it and really appreciate how important this album was for music history.
