This album comes out after a 7 year hiatus after his infamous album 'Paula', which was met with relatively negative review due to its incredibly intimate details. On Earth, and in Heaven shows Robin Thicke in a place of love and healing, and these powers are portrayed absolutely incredibly through this soulful music. The power of love and healing in this album makes for one of the most bright, soulful albums of the last half decade easily, and I cannot help but put this on repeat at the moment. ... read more

This album features some of Leela James's best works (in my opinion), and the choice to feature such a strong, powerful narrative vocal across the album makes this album feel so brutally honest. These songs all feature some degree of empowerment, whether it be through desires, heartbreak, or even in uncertainties, Leela's powerful narrative voice here (both in her vocal performance and penmanship), are some incredibly underrated works. Personal favourite track: Say That/Stay with Me.

One of the most grounding, showcase of maturity that could possibly be showcased through music, Sade creates one of the more serene moments of music in this album. Without a doubt one of my favourite albums, but downside is that the songs tend to drag on a little longer than is necessary, bringing the impatient side of the listener forward when the album doesn't move forward quick enough. Personal favourite track: Somebody Already Broke My Heart.

Hands down one of the greatest debuts of all time, as a pioneer of Neo-Soul, Erykah Badu is an absolute legend, one of a kind musician, and angel really. For this reason, it feels like I'm overstepping to even consider reviewing her work. That being said, I really don't have a bad thing to say about this album, the entire run of the album established the power of neo-soul music, and of Erykah's penmanship. Personal favourite track: Certainly/No Love.

Chrisette Michelle delivered one of the most refined R&B albums of the late 2000s, the quality was kept prestine throughout the run of this album, and is moulded as quintessential 00's R&B. This is definitely one of the most underrated albums (in my opinion), and if you ask me, any song on here could have easily been a single, no skips whatsoever, and I look forward to hearing more from Chrisette soon. Personal favourite track: I'm Okay/Blame It On Me.
